Re: Columbus Dispatch- 4/25/11 More Tressell reading

I am pretty sure this will be the end for Jim Tressell. Wish OSU would just make a move NOW rather than drag it out to see what their options will be. Try and save some dignitiy for those players who are busting their rear-ends right now in practice to salvage the team's year. Again, I put this on t...

ND's Michael Floyd outcome

ND released the outcome of Micahel Floyd this past Saturday. I figured since the last discussion on Floyd was good, so I would start a new post on the "decision." Floyd faced the Residence Board at ND. It has been decided he can remain at the university to continue his "academic"...

Re: OSU to open with Vandy in 2013

I could care less the record of the teams they beat in 08-09. Vandy plays a much harder schedule than Kent St. and Toledo, obviously their record is going to hurt from that. They aren't that good. The average college football fan ouside Ohio though wants to see OSU crush a SEC Vanderbilt rather than...

Re: OSU to open with Vandy in 2013

They did suck last year no doubt in that. A few years before that 08-09 they won 7 games including wins over Auburn, Kentucky, and and Boston College. Obviously, OSU should and will rout this team, I just like to see OSU open with an SEC team. I bet that hasn't happened in awhile. Much more excittin...

OSU to open with Vandy in 2013

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6300594

New news about OSU and their opener in 2013. I like this move. I usually give OSU heck about their first few games of the season..I like the choice of Vandy for an opening game..they are no slouch..

Re: Notre Dame loses star Wide Receiver Michael Floyd

Dang it people..CLane..you don't have to explain anything, you just fule the fire. ND, Michigan, OSU, Indiana, all have good academic programs. It doesn't matter... This is about Floyd? Not academic admissions? For freaking sake, all these universities suck you dry of your money and hold your soul u...

Re: Notre Dame loses star Wide Receiver Michael Floyd

Peake: I am glad your good at doing internet searches for numbers.. I am not concerned where ND is in the scheme of stataticians or any school in America...I just don't care. It seems you get really shook up about these things..lol. Nor, did I ever try to compare them to Yale PEAKE "Please lets...

Re: Notre Dame loses star Wide Receiver Michael Floyd

PEAKE: To get your facts straight, Floyd has never had three DUI's. He had an underage drinking citation twice..never from driving. He should be punished..never argued with that. People who drive drunk once, and yes could kill someone (do I need to take you back to old school DARE days?), should be ...

Re: Notre Dame loses star Wide Receiver Michael Floyd

I think we should wait and see what the outcome is before we start bashing Floyd and the program (Peake). As for OSU, yeah I have no idea why some people bring in other schools into the discussion...keep OSU and whomever out of this..every school has their own issues, lets not compare. As for Floyd....

Who calls the offense for OSU?

Read an article out of ESPN..(So take it for a grain)...but brought up a good point. Looks like there are two guys who could be calling plays..one has never called plays and the other has never had the official job of calling plays. Here is a qoute from the ESPN article. "Bollman and Doc Tresse...

Irish all the way..like DUB..I root for the ND janitors crew too! I root for UNC during BBall if the IRISH are playing, but that hasn't been in issue for the past 6-7 years so go IRISH!

Re: Notre Dame loses star Wide Receiver Michael Floyd

Dub- I did forget. I don't spend my time reading through all these articles because they are redundant. I actually forgot about the 2009 incident. I believe that was a house party (also Jimmy Clausen was invloved at the time) that took place off-campus. I wasn't aware or atleast forgot Floyd was inv...

Re: Notre Dame loses star Wide Receiver Michael Floyd

I agree he should be kicked off (and that is coming from a true fan). I want the program to stay as clean as possible. Peake, as for doubting, the admin stated he would receive the same punishment that two guys received last year (Ian William-Star Linemen in the country) and one other (not sure of t...

Notre Dame loses star Wide Receiver Michael Floyd

Michael Floyd has been suspended from the U. of ND for a DUI arrest over the weekend. Kelly states that the team will move on, but I truly see this as a huge gap in their offense. He was going to be a potential top ten draft pick in 2012 and a heisman candidate. This is Floyd's second arrest for alc...

Re: Uh-oh: Jim Tressel could be in major NCAA hot water

Dub- it was nothing personal. Ur post was actually a good analogy of the point you were trying to make. Outside of the point you were making, which was very clear( how a parent feels about their kid in many situations) I find Tressel to be old enough by now to be held responsible, which he has been....

Re: Uh-oh: Jim Tressel could be in major NCAA hot water

I'm treating this as a parent might treat his kid: I love the Buckeyes unconditionally, and Tress is a Buckeye. Right now, I'm so mad at "my kid" that I want to kick him out of the house and not even acknowledge his existence. But, I have to allow him to learn from his mistakes as well, I...

^^^^^^^You take the liberty of judging the intents of a lot of people without knowing what you are talking about. And if and when judgment is pronounced on JT, I believe two things will be true of Buckeye faithful. They will support that judgment in the same way they did when Woody Hayes was fired,...

Re: I'm a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan, but.....

I think Tressel is a great coach and I'm not ragging on him by any means. Yeah, I wouldn't expect any buckeye faithful to "rag" on their coach who has violated NCAA rules..he doesn't deserve to be ragged on does he? Give me a break. Are you seriously that afraid to say something bad about...
