Re: Should Wellston Keep Playing Jackson?
Moving the game is pointless. As 2old said earlier, they aren't getting playoff points if they lose every year. I work in Wellston and enjoy the trash talking that goes on but Jackson will fill our stands regardless of the opponent. Our 7th graders trashed them and i think our 8th grade won easily s...

Re: Should Wellston Keep Playing Jackson?
2old Jackson was looking at the TVC and the SOC because of the stability and proximity. I seriously doubt the admin thought we would dominate either conference. If they did then shame on them. The wounds we cause Wellston or Vinton are usually returned on the basketball court or in the other sports ...

Re: Should Wellston Keep Playing Jackson?
Logan has dominated a "smaller" conference the last several years haven't they? Are you saying that Jackson and Gallia are just wasting time and money playing the 5 schools that are bigger than us? Should we just save ourselves the trouble and forfeit? Just a thought but maybe we should tr...

Re: Should Wellston Keep Playing Jackson?
Jackson love the game it a win each year for them. They would play all D-5 and D-6 schools if they could. Jackson not much in the conference they are in and wont be. All new ballgame sense they moved to a conference about there size, well Ironton is smaller. I don't know what you're smoking ? We ha...

Re: Should Wellston Keep Playing Jackson?
I spend ALOT of time in Wellston and i have NEVER heard a Wellston fan even joke about dropping this series. Its a matter of pride and a believe in their kids ability.

Re: Should Wellston Keep Playing Jackson?
$$$$$$$$$$$
Seriously though, give Jackson some credit because those kids went out there and played their heart out. Wellston has been in position to win on several occasions during this streak but they always seem to come up with a costly turnover or penalty that turns the tide against them.

Re: Waverly (1-0) at Jackson (1-0)
Both teams showed they have the ability to win a game but the jury is still out on just how good either team might be. This will be an important game for both teams and it will come down to defense and turnovers.

Re: AUG 29TH PAINT VALLEY
The only results for Jackson that i'm sure of: Reed finished 5th for varsity girls and Shank was 26th or 27th (76 girls?). Dicus finished 6th for jr high girls and Sheets was 8th (36 girls). A young lady from Chilli stole the show in jr high girls race ( over 1 minute ahead of 2nd). Chilli had a str...

Re: If I were Portsmouth......
I wouldn't want Jackson to go anywhere without Gallia. We have too much history between us. As for Chilli, I feel they are a good fit to our area. I honestly don't like Ironton because at the time the state was building RT 93, i think they were coming off of an all nighter lol... ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Re: If I were Portsmouth......
I still say Ports, Burg, West, Waverly, Jackson, Chilli, Gallia, Minford, Valley, n Piketon would make a sweet league. You would have limited travel, keep the money local, n have some nice rivalries. Yes some schools are bigger than others but enrollments change year to year anyway...Most of these s...

Re: Michael Vick
Detroit or Oakland would be a good place. They have nothing to lose... Carolina could use him in a wildcat set-up. Imagine adding him in the backfield with Williams or Stewart behind that O-line... The Giants could do the same. He needs a team that can think outside the box but if he insists on bein...

Re: SEOAL 2009
I don't question the ability of Logan to go undefeated. It's not a question of talent, but one of survival. Any team that can run the table needs to survive injuries, travel, turnovers, and the other team's will to win. The SEOAL is a physical league and on any play the game can hurt you.
