Re: Minford at Waverly

I agree with tigers2010onhuddle, 6-15 can not be attributed to poor point guard play or poor free throw shooting. You have to be doing a lot of things wrong to go 6-15. For the Tigers to be successful it has to be all about defense. Defense Defense and more Defense. It won't matter how green Waverly...

Re: Top 25 Players in Southeastern Ohio!!!

I'd take Evan Legg from Piketon over any PG listed on here so far. No doubt the best of the soph. class and for sure in the top 25 in SE Ohio. Obviously you will disagree and maybe you are saying best in the sophomore class as a PG but i have to believe Harrison Martin of waverly is the best sophom...

Re: Who will win the S.O.C. in basketball?

burg will be the favorite and then its a battle to see who can step up and compete with them. Would really have liked to have seen Waverly do some team stuff this summer, I saw the whole Piketon team at Rio this past camp and only saw a couple of 8th graders no 7th graders and I think 3 from younge...

Re: waverly basketball

soccerfix, Rick Swain was involved with a traveling team last year that went to three local tournaments. Waverly,Lucasville, and Jackson. They played a combined maybe 8 or 9 games and had 2 practices. Yes it was great for the kids and they gained a little experience. I was more so talking about an a...

Re: Waverly 08-09

The final score of the boys game was 56-28 and the waverly girls won by 4 but i cant recall the score. The defensive pressure was a big improvement i seen from last year to this year. They were really pressuring the ball and getting in the passing lanes. A little Rick VanMetre defense going on at Wa...

Re: Top gaurds in Southen Ohio

Aaron Heibel from Waverly is pretty impressive with the ball in his hands. Can get to the rim whenever he wants as a 7th grader. Has a pretty smooth stroke from outside as well. He landed player of the week honors at Lebron James camp during the summer.

Re: waverly basketball

I dont think the problem with waverly basketball lies within the ymca biddy ball league. If you take a look at some of the better programs in our area such as the Greenfield Mcclains and Logan Elms you will find that they have their own biddy ball programs but also have a try out traveling team in p...

Re: Round 2 Chillicothe vs. Logan Elm

I heard the game would be held at Teays Valley. After the Waverly Westfall game last year i think this would be a poor decision as a venue for this game. I am taking Logan Elm in this one. I do believe believe Chillicothe has more talent but i just can't bet against LE they seem to find a way to win...
