Jackson will be very strong with plenty of arms, Minford will be very solid again and Gallia will be good again

Re: Chillicothe Regional

I know there have been many complaints about other venues that hosted regionals in the past. These venues are still being used so for this game to be changed it just dont make sense. The VA is one of the finest in the area and should be used as much as possible IMO

Re: Western HOF

Great idea!! Give Brock and all who have made this happen for the Indians a pat on the back. What a night for all of the Indian legends and their families, this is how you keep traditions alive. What a shame other schools in our area do not have a HOF.

Re: Wheelersburg's Derek Moore

You are talking about two great high school pitchers, no doubt Derek had more support but both played on good teams. Hard to argue with Derek's career record of 36-0 and Zach's career strikeout total. Both are getting their education paid for and both have 4 more years to improve. Zach has an advant...

Re: Zach Farmer

No disrespect to the other 1st teamers at the VA on Monday but he looked like a man among boys on the mound with excellent location and was throwing cheddar.

Tough blow for Minford. I am sure he will be like another coach on the bench and come back strong next year. Good luck!

Marietta does have two good senior pitchers and they play in a strong league as well. Portsmouth West has a stable full also.

Re: SE OHIO HS BASEBALL?

With all due respect to Burg, I love their program and their success but there are other programs and players in the area. 23 has a good program but they don't win the district every year so they havent been dominant lately. You are correct to say that these two programs are a good place to start.

Re: Scioto Valley Conference 2013

Numerous freshman over the years have played in the SVC and have been very average. Very few have started and performed at a high level. There is a very big transition from jr high to HS baseball.

Re: Scioto Valley Conference 2013

Well said. Anytime you play three league games a week (sometimes 4/5 with rainouts) you better have a complete pitching staff.

Re: Adena Baseball 2013

There are numerous not so qualified head high school coaches all over the world but Corey played college baseball and is very knowledgeable about the game. He would make a fine choice for Adena.I do not know the other candidates so they might be qualified as well.

Seen em both. Valley has good size and depth. Waverly is playing well and shooting better. Toss up on the road. Waverly at the buzzer.
