My uncle Homer used to ref in southeastern Ohio before moving to Columbus. He explains it to me this way: Southeastern Ohio fans, with the possible exception of a few folks from Portsmouth, would be shocked to see good basketball. You don't need good refs in southeastern Ohio. Teams and players ther...

What the heck is a Tagalong?

Tagalongs are girl scout cookies. Or a couple guys who go along to learn something.

The 6'9" Serbian twins are eligible starting next week.

That's probably the reason for the spike in rankings. They have been looking great in practices, but it will take them a little time to get into game condition.

Chillicothe and Zanesville are a notch above anyone in southeastern Ohio this year.

And there are several Division III teams capable of the upset as DIII is as balanced as I have seen it in years. But the Burg is defending champs and are a bit better than the others IMHO.

Gotta agree about the Burg. Nobody in the OVC plays defense like Wheelersburg does. There are some good offensive teams in the OVC this year, but defense carries you in the tournament run.

Still cannot believe the Burg didn't win it all last year. One bad half did them in.

Dragons get a 59-56 win tonight over Chesapeake. Fairland kid with ice water in his veins made both ends of a clutch one and one with about 20 seconds left to give the Dragons a 3 point lead. I would give him credit if I knew his name. Somebody from Fairland better give him the props. Not a very pre...

Peake over Wayne 87 - 42. Kyle Rase opened the game with a 3 point shot and the Panthers were rolling. Rase, Shoemaker, Copley and Webb all in double figures and plenty of playing time for all. Didn't stay for the Fairland game, but Michael Lamb did not dress for the game. I hope he is OK and can pl...

Chesapeake plays Wayne. Fairland plays St. Joe. Both games on Wednesday night. Winners play on Friday evening. Folks from Chesapeake never take a game for granted (unless it's New York over New England in the SB), but the Panthers defeated Wayne earlier in the year at Wayne, and St. Joe is strugglin...
