Re: Chesapeakes Colin Kennedy signs with Shawnee State

Great job Colin! We at Chesapeake were very glad you landed at Shawnee State. Shawnee is a lot closer than Ohio Valley U., so we will now get to see you play at the college level.

G.W.A.,
I will agree with you about the Carter kid and other good players left off allstars. I don't know who is picking these players but it is obvious that talent and stats was not their first priority.

Re: District 13 All-District teams?

Tubby,
I got chance to see allstar game last night and it was EXCITING. A lot of action. A lot of threes and dunks.
Was really pleased to see eastern have three players voted on team by coaches and well deserved. Heck even
the MIGHTY CHESSY team only had one senior good enough to make it.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Final Editio

pfloyd, I just happened to watch this game and noticed the same thing you said about the defence that Portsmouth big men put on Chesapeakes big man. (on the defensive end it was "manhandle" the CHS big man Colin Kennedy (led by Dion McKinley ). While this manhandling ( fouling) of the Peak...

Re: District 13 All-District teams?

vchoops: I can agree with (most) of your picks on the first and second teams, but why in this WORLD would you have Chesapeake listed with only two players on both teams? I have watched a lot of southern Ohio basketball teams and no way this team would have been 22-1 with just two top players. This t...

conehead said: It was a foul. I know that. But he just ran into him. It wasn't a shove, and it wasn't an elbow. If the game had been officiated differently, I would have been alright with the call. But with an entire game of no calls, I'm not alright with it. Players got away with pushing off, shovi...

Rico & Fuzz, More important than past panzy schedules, why do you guys think the Grove did not reschedule the Chesapeake Friday game to next day (Saturday)? It seams to me that February games are harder to make up than nice days like Saturday!!!! Correct me if I'm wrong, I do not think Grove had...

The Big Kennedy player has been getting several d1, d2 & d3 looks, too. This team should do very well again next year, especially with Kennedy, McMaster and the Copley kid back. Their JV players should be able to give alot of support, also. Anyone got any thoughts about what style games ( up-tem...
