I have a question about the Senior Night though. Why weren't the seniors introduced between the games and the parents of the seniors allowed to escort their kids onto the floor for the last time? I have been to quite a few Senior Nights over the years and it was always done like that with all of th...

SOCfan Sounds about right. I hate to admit it but in the current book I have typed up, two of those years are missing. I don't really count them as missing scores though because Kim Barrick is suppose to get those for me from the scorebooks. Her life has been hectic lately and I haven't wanted to b...

They announced at the Valley game that they had made up a special program honoring the last game. Only 500 copies will be handed out; better get there early if you want one. Just for interest, I don't know how many former Pirates are on here, but how many people would be interested in purchasing a p...

doc, if the 28 home game winning streak is correct, then there are two streaks. During my four years (1998-2002), our home record was 38-1, with the lone loss coming on the home opener of the 2000 season against Minford. Wheelersburg did not lose again at home until Dec. of 2002 (Start of the '03 se...

Hopefully a good crowd will be at NW on Wed. night. I know its a church night, Burg has a jr. high team (7th boys) playing in the county tournament at Webster and if the freshmen win tonight (Monday) they will be playing in a game at Ashland. I look for the Mohawk nation to be out in force for game...

Never 38 that I recall. 62-25 was when the last starters were pulled in the third. Valley though put on a nice 12-0 run after that to cut the lead to just 62-37 and they got as close as 20 points a couple of times. I thought it did get to 38 rabbit (60-22). Maybe I'm mistaken; just from talking to ...

Burg was pressing a little bit too much early trying to make some things happen, understandable with emotions being high for the game. Once Coach Massie got the boys settled down (tempo), the Pirates were just too much for the Siders. West was playing a little short handed for the game. Another nic...

Drew Spradlin from Wheelersburg was also nominated for the McDonald's All-American Team. There are about 1,500 players nominated. Over the past few years, Wheelersburg's Cam Miller and Andrew Burleson were also nominees.

Congrats to both!!

It doesn't matter who cancelled. They probably did so because of the roads that are wet will freeze with the temp dropping. I know both team really want to play this game but looks like it won't happen until week after next. From what I understand is that the administrators from both schools decide...

Pointer Fan, There are a couple of ways to get to Peebles from your way. The quickest way would be to take 52 to Portsmouth and go through town. Follow US 52 until you get to the Kentucky/Hillsboro exit, stay to the right following OH-73 to Hillsboro. You'll go about about 3-4 miles and the road wil...

West Union wins tonight cause Mayo will be in foul trouble and won't play, but prob 10 mins the whole game, so I'm going to take West Union by 10. If this happens and I'm the SP coach I probably wouldn't make it through the entire game either. I don't even think with the "home cookin'" wi...

'bama, was either school in session today? The snow started here (Peebles) about 5:30 am and was just enough to close us due to the time it started. Not much here now.

School is Adams Co. is CLOSED today, but the phone call we recieved from the superindent stated that if there was a way to get the games in tonight they would be played. So, people in South Point, listen to the radio to see if the game is still on. I will post as soon as I hear anything.

Can anyone in West Union give me a hand with directions, or anyone else who might know. MapQuest doesn't recognize 97 Dragon Lair, the address given for the high school. So I printed off directions that are just to West Union, the town. I'm coming in on OH-125. Where do I go after that? Thanks! Tak...

Exactly BG, these two games this week are HUGE for the Pirates with the tournament draw Sunday. Before the Pirates can go 2-0 for the week, they have to get to 1-0 first.
