Got it straight from a coach.....Hartley was asked to schedule Jonathan Alder this year, but said...no thanks. IMO Hartley got very lucky this year. If they were in region 16 with Alder, Massie, Alter and the others they'd never made it.

Let's be blunt here, NCF. We all know the powerhouse Catholic high schools recruit. You know it, we know it, the balless OHSAA knows it, everyone knows it. Coaches, administrators, players and fans are tired of it. Plain and simple. Spin it anyway you want, but basically it's cheating.

See if Mike Bower has any eligibility left. For an "old dude" I heard he still has a lively arm.

^^^but Dan, this thread is about the bell. Could it be buried under the track? My suggestion is hang some pictures of the bell on telephone poles throughout Scioto county. The mystery deepens.

We beat them every year when I played at Alder. That 7-1 record is very and I do mean very deceptive. No contest. Ironton in a big blowout.

From what I've heard this kid is tough, very tough. This is just a little "curve in the road" on to his way to becoming a player we'll watch on Saturday afternoons.

Not surprised at all, not at all. There was no way Hartley would win this game. They're good, but are a little overrated in the Columbus area simply because of the votes the get from the media. Same way with St. Charles if you get my drift.
