Looks like there will be some great basketball games to watch. I will be there to watch my son for the two games the Redskins play and will probably make the trip the third day too. Its nice to have an event like this close by.

My son told me that Wiechman injured his hip a few weekends ago and is still out. Our two 8th graders are playing on what is supposed to be a pretty talented team and heard Clark was doing really well. How is Price doing?

Chickem....glad to hear price is playing, good for him and his team. They must be pretty decent if they beat that team, I know the team Wiechman plays on is all sophs and has some really nice players with the two zanesville kids, 2 philo and some other MVL players.

I agree they will be quality and will have the best returning player but they are replacing three of their top four scorers. River took them to ot and loses nobody. If anyone is the favorite it is the Pilots but I would imagine Fort will get them once next year and do very well.

Watched our (Caldwell) junior high football team play a few times this year. They were undefeated and murdered every team they played by 40 points plus from what I was told. Coach told me Caldwell boys will play Rosecrans and Ridgewood in this tournament, didn't see Ridgewood listed on your list. Looks like three good days of hoops. Can't wait!

I drain 3's.....the way I understand it (was told today) the eastern district team is chosen by the media. The district 12 team is picked by the coaches. Spy, Fort does have some nice players but they benefit from the system put in by their excellent coach.

Expect a good game, sure River will be geared to stop wiechman. Caldwell will have to stop Price/Caldwell and that big kid in the post. One ticket gets you in for this game and the Rosecrans/Barnesville game to follow.

The P.V.C. is quality for a small school league. It isn't the I.V.C. but it isn't that far behind (other then Hiland of course). The best part is the best players in the area are mostly underclassmen. With good talent in the 8th-11th grades this league is gonna be outstanding the next few seasons.

Weichman is doing what he is without much help. He outplayed Neuhart and Hurst pretty badly in the second match up this year. He gets better every time out and is a for sure top five player in this league who will only get better.

That will be the end of the road for either of these two teams but a great accomplishment to get there. The second meeting @ River a few weeks back was a good one, expect this one to be too. Go Redskins.

Game was fun to watch.....second year in a row Caldwell has opened with a tournament win. I know I keep saying it but this program is moving in the right direction.
