Re: shl 2012?

I believe the top teams this year will be: Fayetteville Lynchburg Eastern Whiteaok Fairfield The remaining teams seem to be young but could have the potenial to do well this season. I believe manchester is a very young team. But the addition of Ricketts, West, and Combs should help them out. Peebles...

Re: SHL All-League Team 2011-2012

Congrats to everyone that made it. Interesting that Ricketts didn't make the squad. I also thought Inman might make it if Bales got in. Ricketts and Inman may not have even been nominated by their coach. Sometimes when you nominate too many players from your team, the votes will be spread and you w...

Re: #11 West Union vs #6 Lynchburg Clay 2-21-12

The Huntley kid really showed some heart tonight with some huge made shots but it just wasn't enough to get the W.
The freshman group really stepped up tonight, I can't wait to see the damage they can do next year.

Congrats to West Union Seniors! You guys worked hard and never gave up.

Re: #11 West Union vs #6 Lynchburg Clay 2-21-12

I think this could be a very good game. Lynchburg has several wins and against good teams but they never play well against WU. I think Tanner Huntley will once again carry the team and catch fire. If Huntley and the McUne brothers can keep up their strong play, I'm taking West Union by 4.

Re: SHL All-League Team 2011-2012

I would like to see at least 1 player from each team. Even for the teams that didn't win many games. My thoughts: Manchester: Ricketts (Lock) Manchester: Combs (Lock) West Union: Frost (Had a solid year so far) West Union: Tanner Huntley (Maybe a little too hopeful on this one) Peebles: Arey (Lock) ...

Article on last night's Fairfield/Lynchburg-Clay game: http://highlandcountypress.com/main.asp?SectionID=3&SubSectionID=21&ArticleID=11587 Wow, pretty suprised to see the score to this game. It seems like Lychburg and Fairfield both have up and down nights pretty regular. I like seeing big ...

Re: SHL Scores and Standings Week 10

A.J. Frost really stepped it up against Ripley, scoring almost half of West Union's points. Unfortunatly, Ripley had another great night of shooting which was too much for us to keep up with. Hopefully Frost will continue to improve and become the player we need for the next couple of years.

Sounds like West Union gave lynchburg a pretty good game. I think WU is going to upset some teams in the second half of the season.
Was it a tight game all the way through?

Re: Best basketball players in your school history

I'm not sure of some of the older players but here is what I think from West Union.

Mark Danials
Blaine Roush
Deron Sizemore
Alan Clark
Sean Inman
Jeremy Bennington
Jordan Cox

I'm sure there are several that I'm leaving out, these are just ones that I have heard of or remember.
