Re: WEEK 13 Athens vs Thurgood Marshall

Wow, Athens scores more in 15 minutes than Gallia can in 48! Who's gotten better a the years went on. Either way you look at it. The "W" belonged to Gallia. You had your chance in week one and lost. :122245 Talk is cheap if you consider that Thurgood has given you a couple of fumbles and ...

Re: WEEK 13 Athens vs Thurgood Marshall

I'll take our Bulldogs, who have been in a few 'Dog Fights' this season.

No disrespect but reality. You faced a small Dog when ya played Gallia, but now you are about to face a PitBull. Good Luck in your Dog Fight!

I will not post anymore about how good Marshall really is. But be sure you post around 11 pm this coming Saturday since I will not see the game.

Re: GAHS-Thurgood Marshall stats

I witnessed the game and in my opinion that is the best team I have ever seen Gallipolis play including all of the years I have been watching them play. I would say that you would have trouble slowing them down with an SEOAL All Star team. Their line is big, strong, fast, and the backs have football...

Re: WEEK 13 Athens vs Thurgood Marshall

See nothing special about TM's schedule that would make me think Athens can't compete with this team... Good Luck BULLDOGS, play hard and keep ROLLING along.. Not to be negative but did you not see the whipping the blue devils(Athens only loss) took last night? And your point is? Week 1 loss to Gal...

Re: Athens 36 Shawnee 35

Congrats on your win. I just witnessed the best team that Gallia faced all year hands down. They were too big and fast. To put it in a nutshell they can name their score. No disrespect to other teams but Marshall is on a mission and it will not stop until the final week in my opinion. Good Luck to t...

Re: Trimble v Newark Catholic

I would not even get on here a start a discussion about recruiting because it can cause a lot of bad feelings for both sides. But since you asked, year in and year out Catholic schools contend for the state titles. That is because those schools do recruit. But if the regulations allow it then it is ...

Re: gallia academy v.s thurgood marshall week 12

Bevo I read your posts before editing and must admit you changed your heart. The SEOAL is a good league and while some teams may be down they prepared the team for last nights battle. I have seen several of our athletes perform at state level competition in Cross Country where they beat faster runne...

Re: DIII Reg. 12 #5 Archbishop McNicholas at #4 Gallia Acade

Gallipolis needs to do everything to protect keeping the game on Memorial Field. We earned that right to play at our facilities to have home field advantage. IMO bring Archbishop McNicholis to Memorial Field and give them a taste of a good ole fashion game in the natural elements. That will negate t...

I would like to see number 62 run the ball once from 2 yards out. He would be a load to bring down. I will take Gallia on this game.

Amen, prayer needs to be a part of our daily life and back in the school system. We need to pray for all of our public officials for wisdom and their protection.

It is hard not to predict a "W". Very few points can be earned by playing VC for potential playoff points. We need to continue rooting for Athens for secondary points. :)

Re: Aug. 24--Gallipolis at Athens

I agree Galliagrad78. We need remember they are kids and are not paid to play. Actually both teams last night played their hearts out and made it a great game to witness from the stands. If we play with the heart I seen last night we will compete all year IMO. Not to steer from football but I had a ...

Re: Parkersburg Vs Gallia Academy

I agree with the comments that I have read. IMO, the Blue Devils showed speed, strength, and depth. The o-line played faster than past years because the line was able to make pulls and the angles of the blocks opened up some holes. They may not have the large structured lineman but they showed stren...
