I think the reason there isn't much talking going on is because the Jackson fans are a little bit concerned about a possible Wellston upset. And, the Wellston fans are cautiously optimistic about their teams chances of winning.

I hope for Wellston's sake that Prater plays. They really need him if they want to have a chance against the Ironmen.

I heard that Ryan Mullins is down with a knee or leg injury.

New uni's, new helmet design, new offense, new defense, different results? We'll see. I guess you could say that the coach Hall era has begun in Jackson.

I hope they don't do away with the great Ji logo on the helmet. I really like that logo. Also, they're not going change to a different shade of red like Wellston changed to a different shade of gold in 2001-2006 are they?

I remember reading about the Ironmen getting new uni's. Does anyone know what they're going to look like?

Well if you're thinking they may move someone else to QB it ain't gonna happen it's Wilkett's job. However, the 2nd QB did OK and will help them out if Wilkett has any injury issues.

Larry Blackstone never won any TVC titles. The closest he got was in '99 when Wellston lost to VC week 10 26-14. Larry coached Wellston for 4 seasons '96-'99 and went 23-17. Dave Lucas won the two TVC titles in '01 and '02 with loaded teams. Dave coached Wellston for 3 seasons '00-'02 and went 22-8....

Keep in mind that it was both teams first 7-7. But, they were both mediocre at best. Timing was way off for both teams. Wilkett has a good arm but his mechanics are horrible! he looks like he's trying to throw a shotput instead of a football. Matteson is a good weapon though if he can get the ball. ...

What did you guys think of the 7-7 vs. Warren Fri. nite. I thought that neither team looked very good. Hopefully Wellston gets a little bit better in their passing attack and can get the running game going against Jackson week 1. Because, if not then the Ironmen win BIG

Those '89 teams were even. If they played each other 10 times it would have been 5-5. Wellston just played a little bit better game that night.
