Re: River Valley - Alexander
This is one of the reason’s why you are so bad. Worrying about this. Wow just wow. If he would have been more of a team player over the years instead worrying about things like this you guys may have won a few more games. On second thought probably not. If you would watch him play you’d see that he...

Re: River Valley - Alexander
I vote to officially adopt Eeyore as the RV mascot. I can hear him saying “Here we go again” every Friday.

Pathetic is not an accurate enough word to describe the state of the RV program right now. They have better athletes than this...

Re: Week 6: River Valley @ Wellston
Wellston’s offensive coordinator was a coordinator for the previous staff at RV. Sounds like his “finesse offense” is working pretty well. Shame it’s not “real football”...

Re: Portsmouth 40 - 6 River Valley
2 somewhat successful years out of 7 isn’t anything to brag about..Rv was loaded and beat 1 team with a winning record in those 2 years..I’m not saying your wrong or your right but something is definately off Agree to disagree, anything .500 or above is a miracle at RV if you go by their history, w...

Re: Portsmouth 40 - 6 River Valley
It would make sense for a school that is 1-11 in the past 12 games (the one win being an embarrassing 8-0 win vs SG), giving up on average over 40 points a game and scoring 8, to blame the previous staff, especially when the previous staff was the only one in school history to have any type of succe...

Re: Portsmouth 40 - 6 River Valley
True- anyone can coach from behind a computer screen, but not everyone can coach a game from a sideline either. In 12 games, which is a large enough sample size, RV has averaged 8.1 per point game. Offensively speaking, that number would be lower because some of those were kickoff returns and touchd...

Re: Portsmouth 40 - 6 River Valley
Only the RV faithful would say things like they aren’t far off from winning and they are on the right track and running the ball better. News flash - you are averaging 4 points per game, and in reality because of a kickoff return, your offense is averaging 2 points per game. You get out-schemed and ...

Re: Week 1: River Valley @ Coal Grove
Aren’t all the coaches and the AD county school grads?
That should tell you something.
That’s the very definition of inbreeding, which doesn’t usually work out too well.

Re: Gallia Academy Football 2018 thoughts
They don’t beat Portsmouth or Chesapeake without him.
If he was still at River Valley, they probably don’t beat them either.
So that’s South Point, who everyone beat, and an injury-riddled Ironton.

Re: Gallia Academy Football 2018 thoughts
Depends on how off-season recruiting goes. Worked well for them last year. They were a 2 win team without Campbell last season.OVC wrote: ↑Wed May 02, 2018 6:44 amI have Gallia winning the OVC outright this season.Abe Froman wrote: ↑Tue May 01, 2018 10:21 pm Is an OVC title in the cards this year for the Blue Devils?

Re: 2018 Ironton Head football coach
The whole problem with Ironton sports right now . You can’t win with anyone..?execpt with what the big timer wants. You all need a reality check. Stop voting for people with no balls at all . . And that’s a fact !! It been proven in the last two months I thought you were responding to Pendleton not...

Re: 2018 Ironton Head football coach
So, after the parade of debacles.... everyone wants to hire a guy with no coaching experience? To me, that would be the biggest “we really don’t know what we are doing” moment of all. Not because this Pendleton is a bad guy, I personally don’t know him. But playing fullback at Michigan State isn’t t...

Re: 2018 Ironton Head football coach
You guys make it seems like running the spread is extremely complicated. When run and taught correctly, it’s not. It’s a handful of plays that can be run out of multiple formations. Just because you change a formation or tempo doesn’t mean the assignment or fundamentals change. In college, we had o...

Re: 2018 Ironton Head football coach
When you have the biggest and baddest.... you can do that. I don’t think Ironton has the talent pool or recruiting capability to do that on a state level. They do have that capability locally for the most part, but there are a couple schools that can hold their own in a fist-fight, so to speak. Trut...

Re: 2018 Ironton Head football coach
If Ironton has an outside hire, Fred Ray would be outstanding. He’s done a nice job at Fairview, played all 4 years as a QB at Ohio University, and played his high school ball at Martins Ferry for Hall of Famer Dave Bruney. All quality experiences, but his time at Ferry (who are big rivals with Iron...
