I would say the low pay, unruly fans, disrespectful players and coaches all play into the shortage. I know I wouldn't want to do it.

I think it has to do with the fact that there are more D3 teams in the area to play against each other. Not as many D4 teams, so they are forced to schedule D3...

Is all the seating open in the arena or do they have the top of it marked off? Perhaps that's a reason for the lower ticket allotment?
