I’ve seen both players numerous times over their careers and both are tremendous players and have their college paid for by their athletic abilities. This year’s MVP has to be Daniels of Minford. They have an undefeated league mark and she deserves the sole player of the year award this year.

Very good basketball player, but will be a GREAT 6'6" athletic wide receiver on the gridiron at the college level.

The Klaiber girl from Burg, after playing her first two years at Ironton, is committed to Long Island University of New York.

SOC won't release their all conference teams until the last team is out of the tournament. So with Minford still being in it on the boys side as long as they keep winning it won't be released. Same thing with Wheelersburg on the girls side.

Jenny Seas of Peebles is a freshman this year and a favorite to win the 3200 at the state meet. She won the District by a lap as the second place girl was just starting her last lap as Seas was finishing the race. She's ran a 10:54 this year and can go faster as she's never been challenged this year...

Surprised to see Coach Claytor leave West Union with a pretty good jv team coming up and some young girls already up playing varsity and doing well. Will the jv coach move on up to the varsity job?

The SHAC doesn't award a Player of the Year. The way they recognize all league is by announcing a 15 players all league team as voted on by the conference coaches. The coach of a team can't vote for any player on their own team.

Kind of surprised by the Oak Hill win over Notre Dame. I'd say that's a mild upset, but evidently the Blanton twins are making Oak Hill a much better team than they were in the early part of the season.
