Were there any starters out? I didn't notice if there were, plus with a bunch of young guys subbing in and out all night it was hard to tell.

Re: Week 4 Wheelersburg (3-0) at Waverly (3-0)

Over the past 10-15 years Waverly always seems to look dominant "coming off of the bus" with huge linemen and athletes on the edges dating back to the Walls/Roback era. The problem is they don't always put it together when the lights come on. This Waverly team is no doubt very dangerous an...

Re: Week 2 Minford at Burg

I think Minford will challenge the Burg with their athletes, but I think Minford OL/DL will wear down late in the game. I see a competitive game throughout with Burg putting one on late to make it "look worse than it is." Burg 35 Minford 17

Re: Week 2 Minford at Burg

IMO, at no point in last years season did Wheelersburgs offense look as smooth or fluid as they have in the first scrimmage and week one vs Chillicothe. (I know they aren't a GOOD team, but I'm not buying that Chillicothe is as bad as everyone is saying). It all seemed so forced last year but they w...

Re: Week 1 Wheelersburg @ Chillicothe

Pretty solid showing from the Pirates overall. Defense seemed quick to the ball with very solid tackling. It took the offense a few series to get into a groove but I think traveling two days in a row and a QB in a new system had something to do with that lol will need to be able to run the ball bett...

Re: Burg Chillicothe

All the banter between programs is all well and good but I just want to say that I am happy that these kids were given the chance to compete and play a game that we all love. Any football is better than no football and I for one am thankful that they are getting this opportunity this year.

Re: Granville at Waverly 08/28/20

I noticed on that youtube video the quarterback's name is Crouch. Is he the brother of the NC QB that went to Illinois? Yes he is. Is Blake Rine at QB as well? Who starts? I'm not familiar with the Rine kid but from the video it seemed that Crouch was the starter/got the majority of the reps.

Re: Burg radio or video this year

I believe they will be doing some sort of Facebook live coverage similar to what they did last year. It was a part of the schools page. This hasn't been confirmed, but just an assumption.

Anyone have any other info on Teays Valley? I know they are D2, lost to Chillicothe last year. 7-3 but didn't really beat anyone.

Re: Week 1: Ironton at Burg

I believe they will go with the kid from Ashland. IMO his arm is far superior to the sophomore and is more athletic. It simply comes down to him grasping the playbook. Also, I think the sophomore will be used a bunch on defense (probably starter) which is honestly where I think is his best fit. I th...

Re: Week 1: Ironton at Burg

I did not know that. Thanks cat So with the new format of playoffs. Would they meet early or late in the postseason ? My guess would be later. I’m assuming they will go by team record. Ironton will be undefeated. Burg schedule a little tougher I haven’t looked at Burgs revised schedule. Has it been...

Re: Week 1: Ironton at Burg

Has anyone been up to Burgs practice or heard anything about the new QB getting any reps so far? I would imagine it would take a week or so to implement a small package of plays for him to get started, and maybe get more reps next week before the first Orange and Black scrimmage.

Re: Week 1: Ironton at Burg

The soph. QB has some size (6'2 220) and his time will come but I believe he only sees time on defense this year. It may end up that way, but he is very quick for his size and could be a great TE.....If he could get the ball in space, he would be a threat for sure You're right, he is a good athlete...

Re: Week 1: Ironton at Burg

Got to get that green light. Interesting game as both will probably not have enough sample to see who’s going to work where and why. Ironton is gonna have their hands full on this one. Still the favorite but this will be a great game. Would love to see the Gregg kid pan out well and be able to util...
