Re: Top 7th Grade Players

People act like 13 year old kids are NBA free agents. His father has said to numerous people that he isn't going anywhere. He has other siblings that would have to change too. The class he is in is really good at all 3 sports and he is established there. It would be stupid to change now. But everyon...

Re: JH basketball scores

I took in this game and it was a sloppy game. Alot of that is the zone defense by Valley. I really don't understand what you are teaching at the middle school level playing zone all game especially when you have 5 good players. It may be best to win now, but that won't work at the next level. West p...

Re: Rio Grande Holiday Tournament

Curious if tournaments like this count 1 or 2 games against the number of games that teams are allowed to play? Maybe this is a good way for teams to get a couple extra games

Don't know about him but some of the other stuff is pretty brazing. I know their superintendent has been made aware. Let's see if they back off

Re: 8th Grade Jr. High Basketball

I was told Burg also had a new kid from Portsmouth that wasn't there in 7th grade. Relievable source I believe. Word on the street is that they have people out in the community trying hard to make that a reality. Maybe that's what was meant by my source. He was a credible guy. I'll make sure I get ...

Yes the 2 from West are the older girl's younger sisters. She worked with their dad and got them to follow her to NB

Re: New Boston Glenwood Lady Tigers

Doesn't surprise me. Didn’t East's best player just transfer to NB? This is the same coach that after she left West for NB, had the older Oiler girl that graduated two years ago living at her house to get her and her two younger sisters eligible until their dad found an apartment so they wouldn't ha...

Re: Top 7th Grade Players

I worry about the Collins kid. His success so far at a young age has come because he is miles bigger than every other kid. He's really going to have to work on his game to remain a force. It also affects the players around him. A lot of those guards don't know how to make proper post entries. They ...

Re: Top 7th Grade Players

Crank from Minford is a really good player. He just doesn't have alot of help on his team. Valley has several good players. Not great individually but mesh well together. They've done well in alot of tournaments. Collins from Webster. Lower could be really good too. West has several good players. Se...

Re: Jr. High Week 5

It would be hard to say in football, but Valley's 7th grade has never been beat by West in hoops when both have full squads. Although the Sandlin kid is the best player on the floor. I've got relation on both teams. It's middle school so you really don't know how kids will develop. They both have g...

Re: Jr. High Week 5

7th grade Waverly 14 West 8 - Waverly scored on the last play of the game. 8th grade Waverly 34 West 6 - Neither team scored in the second half. West QB is a dandy. I hear he is just a 7th grader.....Wow! I hear Waverly is trying to get a game with Trimble for next week. Both teams are undefeated. ...

Most of the major AAU showcases are held in July/August, making it hard to play football. Seems his family's love is basketball. Most kids like him that love basketball do not have the measurables to go major D1 like he does and have a better chance at football. With solid D1 offers in hand it's ver...

Fairland is a great team the guy is a great coach, but some of the scores that he beats teams by make you really wonder about the sportsmanship part.

Minford has the most talent. But Oak Hill has the best combination of talent and coaching.
