Burg will be fine. 7-3 with the schedule they play is pretty good if you ask me! And as far as another team winning the region, how many state titles have they won in that stretch? And I’m not from the Burg either. But I do like to see area teams win come playoff time.

Greenup County’s first two games were a 36-28 loss at Coal Grove and a 21-19 win over Russell KY. And like was said above, the QB was more of a runner than a passer. At least in the CG game.

I wasn’t at the game. I did watch both teams last week and thought it might be an interesting game. Valley might have given up a lot to Portsmouth. It should be a dandy of a game! Ironton needs to clean up the penalties. I could see a repeat of last year’s game. A low scoring affair with who has the ball last wins.

I’ve not had the opportunity to watch a state championship game. But, in all fairness to everyone involved, the games should be centrally located. Track and field state finals are held in Columbus. Why not the football championships?
