Re: Portsmouth Trojans 22-23 Basketball

Best of luck to my alma mater Portsmouth Trojans! I wish nothing but the best for Coach Collins and the program and hopefully, both will reach the milestones listed above. My Dayton Northridge squad scrimmage the Trojans over the summer and I was impressed with their athleticism and efforts during t...

Re: New Banners hanging in the rafters @ Portsmouth High school

This is certainly great to see. Being a part of a couple of those banners does my heart good. Yes trojandave, the program will return to its glory days at some point. It may or may not be a long run like the past, but I'm confident the Trojans will return to winning Sectional and District titles and...

Re: Waverly final 4 thread.

Congratulations to the Tigers, the coaching staff, and the Waverly community. A Final 4 season is a season that will last a lifetime. I always enjoy seeing teams from the Southeast make it to the "Big Dance". What a great turnout by the students and community...brings back chilling memorie...

Re: State Tournament At Dayton Arena

Yes, we play our District tournament at UD arena in years past. It's a great atmosphere, new renovations, great seats, and the kids love it. There are plenty of places to eat and hotels close to the arena (maybe not walking distance, but a short drive away). I would love to see it back in Dayton in ...

Re: I WAS WRONG PFLOYD!!

trojandave, Thanks for your updates every year. I enjoy reading about my alma mater as I'm always quick to check the box-scores to see how the P-town boys are doing. It's been a weird year for everyone and just like the Trojans we returned (3) starters and had high expectations but only managed a 13...

Re: Mega shoot out at Portsmouth high school ,NEW UPDATES!! Will cut off at 56 teams.still a few spots left

Looking forward to this, our kids love playing in Portsmouth, especially during the Bannon Park Classic. I remember we did something like this during Mike Haley's tenure at PHS; however, not this massive. This will be an awesome day of basketball.

Re: Coach Lisath and Northridge Advance

Sorry guys I'm just seeing this. Thank you very much! We battled hard all season, jumping from D3 to D2 was quite a challenge; however our kids believed in something greater than the game and we were able to get to the Regional Finals for the first time in school history since 1945 losing to eventua...

Re: 2018/19 Portsmouth Trojans

Never count out my beloved Portsmouth Trojans...once the regular season ends everybody is 0-0 and the postseason sometimes brings out the best in teams. Portsmouth is notorious for being a tough out in the tournament. Coach Collins is battle tested and if anyone can have them ready is Geno. Next yea...

Yep basically the same kids, we just kept our best two out there the entire game vs Huntington. Yes, we are blessed with speed and quickness, but the kids will have to learn how to play the game. Despite our struggles it was a good day to put in the work. I'm glad we made it down. Always love the So...

Re: Rio Shootout 6/18

Great athletes ? Really ? Might be a couple but in general it's bad basketball with a handful of athletes. It's pretty bad almost everywhere. Sorry but the truth hurts. Good luck all ! It’s summer....things aren’t flowing like a regional final. Maybe my “great” should’ve been very good. All I know ...
