Re: Regional Semi: Wood (8-0) Burg (7-1)
Not the same team...Wood is hearing ya...not the same Wood team either, but tell yourselves whatever you have to feel warm and fuzzy. Respect all the way around from the Wood towards the Burg, one of best coached teams in small school football and tough kids who play the game right way. But I wouldn...

Re: RD 3: Ready at Burg
Keep reading not the same Burg team as last year, this Wood team isn’t same either, on either side of ball. Defensively this Wood team is better. Offensively not as explosive but more physical and #2 still an ok player. Wood program/community has a lot of respect for Burg, Wood knows the Burg is an ...

Agree about the Wood's football field, but its 2nd nicest field in its own district...to its baseball field.

Re: Division 5 is tough
There's some really good teams at the top of DV, for me though iokt's Kirtland until it's taken from them. 5 state championships since 2011, undefeated for 2 straight seasons and currently 3-0 this year, they jumped up into DV last year and some wrote them off as they were a small V school going ag...

Re: Fort Frye needs games 2021
I don't know why Beverly didn't call back, if what you are asserting is true. I wasn't talking about computer points, talking about a high level of competition. And it's not consideration, it's what it is. So you are doubling down on your "Ridgewood is not an elite program" by now stating...

Re: Fort Frye needs games 2021
I wasn't being sarcastic. Ridgewood is not an elite program. And I could care less if they play Fort Frye. I also remember when the Cadets were the laughing stock of the Mid-Ohio Valley. But good luck to both programs. Then please explain your prior comment of not giving them enough points. Or are ...

Re: Fort Frye needs games 2021
Ridgewood 165 boys (cb-169)
Garaway 152 boys (CB- 163)
Fort Frye 132 boys (CB- 145)
Not by any means a significant difference. Both schools are in the same division in boys basketball and baseball
157 is the cutoff for D6 in football

Re: Fort Frye needs games 2021
Well probably because Ridgewood wouldn't give them many points Waterford gave FF 30 1st level points last year, most of anyone on FF schedule. Last 17 years, Wood's 1st level points (avg 33.5 1st level) 2019- 43.5 2018- 39.0 2017- 28.5 2016- 35.5 2015- 36.0 2014- 36.0 2013- 19.5 2012- 23.5 2011- 31...

Re: Fort Frye needs games 2021
If Fort doesn’t find a replacement Magnolia is going to have to come to Beverly. We realize that, but has FF had any talks with other schools to be able to replace Magnolia? Time is running out and Madonna WV who want to play Magnolia and vice versa, will need to able to pick up someone before it's...

Re: Week 13 - Ironton (11-1) vs Ridgewood (12-0)
Anyone have a guess to the number of people that attended the Ironton and Amanda game last week?? They say Jackson seats 6,000 at capacity. Thinking back I would estimate there was around 4500 paying fans there. Not counting the band Oh JEEZ. So let's just low ball 3,500 then because obviously Iron...

Re: Week 13 - Ironton (11-1) vs Ridgewood (12-0)
First of all Ridgewood has punted more than 5 times...they punted 4 in Garaway game alone and twice last week, I’d say it’s closer to 10 times. Wood will need to make plays when presented and will need to be able to put some longer drives together as well. Points haven’t come easy against Ironton de...

Re: Week 13 - Ironton (11-1) vs Ridgewood (12-0)
This morning I was told Ridgewood came out pre-game and ran down by where Burg was and were trying to taunt/imtimadate Burg. Like in their face. Any truth to that? Wood definitely crossed the 50...but in their face is just a bit over exaggerated. With that said Burg had plenty of chirp when they ca...

Re: Week 12: WOOD BURG
First just want to say good luck to Burg I feel if they can open the play book up and throw some footballs downfield it will greatly increase their chance at winning the football game. I don’t know if they can just power ridgewood all night like against minford which was minfords biggest weakness a...

Re: Week 12: WOOD BURG
I cant speak to all the Southern Ohio bickering on this thread, but I do know how Burg is viewed amongst the Wood program and contingent...as a champion and champions do not do down without a fight and they rarely go down at all. I would guess that the Burg internally has been playing the "Us a...
