Most people on here are taking this lack of sports way too serious. Find something else to do. Period. A bunch of old, more than likely overweight men obsessing over teenagers playing a game. Pathetic.
Calling them fat is a nice and unnecessary touch

Re: Jackson Ironmen 2020

I was kinda surprised they only had 14 playoff teams in their history. I'm not disrespecting, just thought they would have had some prior to 1996. It was extremely tough to make it years ago,I understand. Weren’t very good from early 80’s until 1989. Started having solid teams. Finished 5th I think...

Re: Jackson Ironmen 2020

Aside from Licking Valley, Jackson’s schedule is cake (as always). Should be able to go 9-1 with their eyes closed, likely 10-0. Who would you schedule if gave an ounce of crap about Jackson? Up to just 2 years ago OH was in a league with ND, East, Green, Symmes Valley, Purple etc When did I mentio...

Re: Jackson Summer League

Not looking good.

Right now every player has to only touch their ball. If football has some 7 on 7 scrimmages maybe so basketball scrimmages can happen in late July

Re: Coaching Vacancies 2020-2021

So no Ervin at Wellston. Voted down 3-2 and one against said union contract says someone in house applies they should get it.

Not sure if committee will submit another name or not.

Wellston needs a coach.

Re: Jackson Ironmen 2020

Jackson shouldn't lose a regular season game, hopefully they can get a little deeper in the playoffs. @Licking Valley a pretty legit game Team lost a ton of seniors that were integral parts of that team. There are definitely some big players and breakout players returning....but a mess of kids will...

Re: Coaching Vacancies 2020-2021

Ok now we have openings at Portsmouth West Green Portsmouth East Wellston Lynchburg East Clinton Am I missing hires for these jobs and who would be considered frontrunners for them. I’m not sure Lynchburg’s is truly open. Maybe they’ll go with someone outside but doesn’t feel like they will.

Re: Coaching Vacancies 2020-2021

Shocking opening in the SHAC....Lynchburg-Clay Boys Basketball position is now open as Matt Carson was non-renewed for the position. Best wishes to Coach Carson. Matt has always shown himself as great teacher of the game and great man off the floor. Very surprised by this decision. Ridiculous. A da...

Re: OHSAA Playoffs Expanding in 2021

Dumb. Everyone gets a trophy Lol Get off my lawn Come on it’s for the kids. This is how Fort Frye program started. They barely made the playoffs one year as an 8th seed. They went to Kirtland and got hammered. What that did for the community was huge everyone wanted to be apart of it. So many kids ...

Re: SEOAL - The Final History - Champions - POY - COY

Willie Woodard from Jackson is listed on previous posts here also and he was closer to 6' 6" than the 6'3" listed on POY list (1991)on this thread. His Mom & Dad are from Middleport & Pomeroy originally and family on my Dad's side with his Mom. The SEOAL release from '91 lists him at 6'3 and the Al...

Re: Coaching Vacancies 2020-2021

He is a nice guy for sure not saying anything bad about him. But he is not the best guy to apply for the position. Many players and parents support someone they to feel is a tremendous role model and have won recently with while he was the coach of their kids. Seems like it’s typical small town stu...

Re: Coaching Vacancies 2020-2021

Rob Ervin is absolutely one of the best people I know. 100% class act and tremendous role model. I have no idea if he’s the best that applied for the job or not but I have no doubt he’ll give 100% and represent Wellston with class and dignity. If hired it would be ridiculous to not support him if i...
