Re: Why do we officiate?
We officiate this great game of basketball for so many reasons we can’t mention them all. The relationships we make with fellow officials, AD’s, scorekeepers, radio personnel, coaches, players, fans and even security at our games. FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME is the main reason! No matter if we are you...

Re: Officiating in the Area
And yes, anyone that wants 2 man crews has never done a game with 3 and then tried to go back to 3. Night and day. Bingo. See every play better with three. That means you are less likely to guess. So that means less whistles, or whistle On plays that need whistles. And remember, NO ONE, has ever re...

Re: Officiating in the Area
There are some good young officials in the SE District. But there aren’t enough officials to go around and that’s country wide not just locally. Increasing money isn’t the answer. The good ones work because the love the game, cause there’s no money in it at this level. It has helped that things are ...

Re: South Webster @ Wheelersburg 1/14
Jaren Lower straight 🔥 in the 4th for Webster. Lower kid is a freshman? Kid can really shoot it. Bright future Yeah and he’s not afraid to pull the trigger either. He dropped 13 on East his first career varsity game. Collins #24 the big kid we played down low is also a Freshman Very excited for wha...

Re: South Webster @ Wheelersburg 1/14
I know Ader can coach. So that makes the problem discipline. We can all second guess x and O’s, but it comes down to jimmys and joes. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a W to get their attention.
Question is, would Burg faithful be ok with that?

Re: Ironton @ Wheelersburg 1/11
Still patiently waiting for Burg to develop into a metropolis with the new highway, as was promised 🥺 You and me both. Lol Heard tale of all these new truck stops, restaurants, Walmart moving down past Jason Conleys, etc etc. at this point I’d settle for a Roosters Soon, very soon, grasshopper

Re: Jr High Prospects
Peebles jr hi girls 8 the girls has the Johnson girl moving up next year. She is awesome, jumpshooter, ball handler,an create her own shot. Sees the floor beyond her years. Assists,Rebounds. I believe she has the ability to be as good as we have ever had in the girls game. Agreed. She is a stud, and...

Re: Ironton @ Wheelersburg 1/11
A little surprised at the lack of comments about this game. I know everyone was not at the Beasts of the Southeast. Was it just a back and forth game, a great defensive game or what ? It's very rare that any team can hold the Burg to 47 pts, especially on there home floor. I’ll comment on it. Burg ...

Re: 3/9 8PM Wheelersburg (24-0) v Alexander (17-7)
I thought the intentional foul call was correct. My question for officials out there does there have to be some kind of intent to hurt someone to make that call. I thought there were a couple where Alexander wrapped up Holden and no intentional was called. The fouls that weren’t called intentional ...

Re: 3/9 8PM Wheelersburg (24-0) v Alexander (17-7)
Ik BG77. I know exactly what you’re talking about. Maybe I’m just old school. I do know this, having a D1 athlete on the floor makes up for a lot of things. Look at the numbers tho, northwest twice, valley twice, minford and west, oak hill in conference (under 45) and E Palestine, who’s just Turble....

Re: 3/9 8PM Wheelersburg (24-0) v Alexander (17-7)
Burg just needs to be focused on Alexander right now because if Burg doesn't have a good game Alexander will have a chance Burg just needs to keep playing good defense and I think the shots will start to fall and also good luck to Burg girls tonight GO BURG! I’d love to see them play D just once. W...
