I completely understand that it is only one side of the story.

Re: Boys Scores

Northwest 7th grade beat Waverly by more than 10 before Waverly 8th beat Northwest by the aforementioned 74-52.

Northwest is in McDermott or Lucasville, not Portsmouth.

Re: Jr. High Basketball

Waverly 7th and 8th scrimmaged at Southeastern on Wednesday the 18th. It was a weird format with each team alternating 10 minute quarters. Southeastern certainly looked like the best team (both 7th and 8th) early on, but Waverly picked it up a lot in the later quarters. Southeastern has some good sh...

Re: Unioto Jr High Soccer Tournament

South Webster won the tournament 3-0 over Amanda Clearcreek Boys. I don't have all the scores, but here are the results of all games. Feel free to post if you know them. Championship Bracket Unioto Purple (coed but mostly girls) over Amanda Clearcreek Girls Wheelersburg over Zane Trace Coed Waverly ...

Re: Week 10: Portsmouth at Waverly

I was pleased to see Waverly put together 2 solid wins to finish out the season. Hopefully it will be something to build on for next year.

Re: Week 6: Valley (5-0) @ Waverly (3-2)

35-14 final after 21-0 at the break. Not saying Valley wouldn't have found other ways but TD passes to wide open receivers over the middle of the field put this one away. Coaches tried 3 or 4 different guys to fill the void left by Kottenbrooks absence but none worked. I mean receivers open with no...

Re: 9-19-15 WAVERLY @ RIDGEDALE 1pm week 4?

It is hard to score 44 points in a half in just shells. How have the points been scored? Long drives, big plays, turnovers, all of the above?

Re: Junior High Teams

Waverly has a coed junior high team. They have played against all boys teams from Unioto, Circleville, and Zane Trace and coed teams from Jackson, Chillicothe, Zane Trace (girls and 7th grade boys) and Southeastern (only 1 girl). I assume that those schools with all boys teams have separate girls te...

Re: Wk 3: Waverly vs Unioto

Well earned win for the Tigers. Great defensive effort to contain a true stud in Hosley. Unioto's offense was essentially limited to 2 big Hosley runs and one big pass, which should have been knocked down. There was also the roughing the kicker penalty prior to a big Hosley run that set up a Unioto ...

Re: Wk 3: Waverly vs Unioto

The starting QB/Safety injured his ankle on play that looked like it could have been a horse collar tackle (I couldn't tell if the hand was inside the back of his jersey or not, but he was pulled backwards from behind). The game was close at that point in time.

Re: WAVERLY FOOTBALL

Waverly is definitely improved from last year on both sides of the ball. The defense is very aggressive should not get pushed around as much as they did last year. Offense will be much more exciting due to both scheme and talent. Kottenbrook is a true duel threat that will force the defense to defen...

Re: 11u or 12u travel baseball

I am not associated with this team nor do I know if they are in need of players. They are based out of Chillicothe/Waverly with a lot of kids from SVYL plus a few from other leagues. They usually play the summer rec league all-star tournaments like Paint Valley, Waverly, Jackson, and SVYL. The other...

Re: WAVERLY FOOTBALL

The pictures look great!

What are they doing with any scraps when they have to cut near the edges? In some pictures it looks like there is enough to cover a portable pitching mound or make a batting stance mat. It would be nice to have those size scraps if they are just throwing them away.
