Re: October 6, 2023 Fairland 43 - 27 Portsmouth

I've seen comments about being "ecstatic" about winning 4 or 5 games and wasn't expecting to win. This is the problem with our program at the moment. When has that ever been ok? You prepare every week and expect to win every game! Mediocre is not ok. Let's stop letting our kids think that...

Re: Fairland v/s Portsmouth

Fairland came out and won the 2nd half pretty convincingly. I hate to question the coaches, I’m not that type of fan typically. However the play calling for Portsmouth is and has been abysmal all season. You can’t have a 7 play playbook. Can’t beat good teams like Fairland running plays they’ve see...

Re: Week 1: Valley @ Portsmouth

Portsmouth is young but will be a force to be reckoned with. Will be interesting to see how their season turns out I agree, there’s a lot of sophomores in big spots on that roster. I’d like to see them utilize all their eligibility and gets some extra reps on Monday nights. You risk injury, but you...

Re: August 25, 2023 Portsmouth West 31 - 14 Portsmouth

I think I’d like to see this matchup played again with JT Williams at QB. Passing game I think could’ve had the Trojans with the win in this one. Phs had some success running the ball early, but West really stifled the run game because there was absolutely 0 passing threat. Portsmouth didn’t do the...

Re: Portsmouth 2023 what to expect?

neither brown or parker will ever play for PHs again thats the sad truth. Both great athletes but dont have what it takes off the field That’s a pretty bold statement to make. They’re both freshman, and missing a season doesn’t equate never playing for PHS. 🙄 I was hoping Amani came back cause he’s...

Re: Jeff Lisath Is The Portsmouth Trojans Coach

TrojanTru: First day of Trojan Camp went very well. I counted the first 10 of next year's varsity participated, and then there were about 20 other kids all the way down to 4th grade. You mentioned Isaiah Lewis, and he has taken his game to a higher level. He pushes the ball up the court as well as ...

Re: Jeff Lisath Is The Portsmouth Trojans Coach

Trojan Camp was cancelled for today, but it will take place from 3:00-6:00 PM on Saturday. How was the first day of camp Dave? I’d imagine, open gym Coach Lisath was tucked away, a little precursor to conditioning Coach Lisath showed up. It’s almost go time, I hear Terry Lewis boy is taking a leade...

Re: Jeff Lisath Is The Portsmouth Trojans Coach

I deleted the above post due to rumblings about "outsiders" coming to open gym with the tag of being recruited by Coach Lisath. These rumblings are COMPLETELY UNFOUNDED. I have been to every open gym, and while there has been some players participating though not affiliated with Portsmout...

Trojan Camp June 2nd, 3rd, and 5th at PHS. Coach Lisath will introduce his plan and methodology to return the Trojans to prominence. Should be a fascinating watch. Should be an exciting time for you and our Trojan faithful. I would hope to catch some summer ball once they’ve started to gel and exec...

Re: Jeff Lisath Is The Portsmouth Trojans Coach

Kid from Valley transferred? Or was just there playing? How did the boys from Webster that were there do? The going to be 7th graders have some talent, not very deep, but a few talented players, as long as they keep growing and improving, they will do well. Not sure where he attended school last, b...

Highly unlikely, seeing as to Andre Parker from Princeton High School in Cincinnati was the Bengals 2022 nominee for the award.

Re: Week 12: WOOD BURG

Haven't been to Lancaster since week 12 in 2001. Licking Valley sent us home in OT after getting 12 shots at the endzone after 2 pass interference calls. Great game though, and Jo Jo Parker had one of the best runs I ever saw at any level of football. Hopefully Matthews and company will make some m...

Re: Congratulations Portsmouth class of 2020

What is the career yards for Parker? Its gotta be way up there. His dad’s record was 5,514 and broke that in week 6 (5,626) and he tacked on 250+ the next week, I’d say he’s over 6,000 career yards. That’s pretty impressive after missing almost half his Freshman and Sophmore season due to injury. S...

If Portsmouth wanted to strengthen their non conference schedule maybe they shouldn’t have dropped Wheelersburg 🤭          I'm sure Burg misses the competition and Harbin points they were getting from beating 1 to 3 win Portsmouth teams every year....

Portsmouth will play Wellston in place of RV next year. Then four years with Greenup Co.
