Re: Ironton 7 on 7 - 23 July - 11 am - at the Tank
Ironton was bigger, much bigger than Kirkland. Strong aggressive quick defense will defeat slow lineman

Re: Ironton 7 on 7 - 23 July - 11 am - at the Tank
Well Ironton seems to wanna take credit for winning 2 hand touch games but when they loose it’s only 2 hand touch. Which is it?

Re: Ironton 7 on 7 - 23 July - 11 am - at the Tank
Heard things were a little chippy at the end with Ironton and Waverly after Waverly beat them. Could make for an interesting scrimmage in a couple weeks. Ironton couldnt guard Fuethy, everything is different though come scrimmage time Not many can. He’s a great athlete Please tell me how Ironton wi...

Re: Ironton 7 on 7 - 23 July - 11 am - at the Tank
Irontons Lineman won all 6 events in the Lineman challenge. They beat Johnson Central in the Tug of War challenge 2 out of 3 times. There were 6 Linemen on each side in the Tug of War. Those Johnson Central boys are HUGE and a lot of them. Well that definitely does it. Ironton won the Tug of War. W...

Re: Ironton v Burg 2021
I’m not saying they are gonna be bad. This time last year you had those players, 4 returning linemen, a movein quarterback with 2 years of varsity starts in a similar offense, and the return of Miller who was a good player. Last few years there was always one perimeter player that you had to bracket...

Re: Waverly Tigers 2020-2021 Season
Waverly had some significant losses. Robertson is a really good player, but defenses will be able to double him more and get the ball out of his hands more than the last couple years. They’ll battle Minford and West for the league title, but their chance at advancing far in the tournament was last y...

Re: Ironton v Burg 2021
Agree. I was rather shocked. They will still be competitive, but he next 2 to 3 years will be rough at times by their standards imo I seriously doubt that. But honestly I don’t know what’s considered rough times. Rough times at Wheelersburg would be 4 or 5 losses which is possible this year. They h...

Re: Offseason Rumblings
This is a huge loss for Wheelersburg. He and Swords were the only returning players with experience
If they don’t bring anyone in they are looking at a middle to bottom of the league finish. When is the last time that happened?

Good to see West getting Turf. Their field was bad.
Good team this year. My sleeper pick for SOC Champ and a good playoff run. They have some nice returning players

Re: Ironton v Burg 2021
Significant losses in Skill and in the trenches. Questions at quarterback and lack of size. Loss of their most physical returning player to transfer. Wheelersburg is well coached. But football is 75% about the Jimmy’s and Joe’s. And Ole Jim and Joe don’t look like the last 10 years Agree. I was rat...

Re: Offseason Rumblings
I think this situation provides a refreshing start for this young man. He, especially will be coached by a man who totally understands the game. Having said that, Mr. Collins will place this young man in the right position to utilize his obvious talent and skills. This is a move that helps the play...

Re: Ironton v Burg 2021
Ashland not playing Ironton says something. They have played for years and that is a cash only game. Losing or winning has no effect on Ashland for playoff purposes. Coaches are a fraternity. There are those that believe things are going on. It may get to the point that the only thing they can do is...

Re: 2021 VALLEY INDIANS FOOTBALL
Is it true one of Valley's top players was recruited away to Ironton? I heard there was an Ironton coach show up to a Valley basketball and talked with the kid and his family right after. One is at Ironton and another at ND. Don't know if one was recruited but there are alot of rumors floating arou...

Did he resign on his own or was this instigated by the board?
