Seen both teams versus Waverly. Both teams have some good young players. 1 and 3 for Valley, 18 and 23 for West. 23 was all over the field defensively for West.

Valley didn't have many kids in middle school last year and only looks to have about 15 playing between both grades this year. They played a 7th grade schedule last year and struggled with that and are bad again this year.

What is the reasoning for playing Hurd over some older players? To not have to move others around when Shoemaker comes back?
