Re: Next Level Signings ?
I personally know all of those guys. Last I checked, they are all baseball players, and they played 20+ years ago. Times have changed. Coaches don't recruit the same way they did in 1988. And no I am not slamming South Webster. Just stating facts. Coaches want to see players play against the best co...

Re: Next Level Signings ?
They are going to show up to watch a player compete against South Webster (No offense to South Webster)? What are they going to see? Are they going to love the fact that you can hit a pitcher who throws in the mid 40's? If you advance to the state tournament where the competition is adequate they mi...

Re: Next Level Signings ?
College coaches are not coming to high school games, especially those not near larger cities. They have their own seasons going on. If you don't go to the showcase tournaments, and/or college camps you could very well be a D1 level talent, and never be seen. Even if you play in the showcase tourname...

Re: Next Level Signings ?
Why does everyone get hung up on D1 signings. Just because a player is able to sign a D1 offer doesn't mean they should. These girls have 4 years left of ball, period. Going D1 looks great on signing day, but if you sit the bench for 3 years was it really a good choice? Should a fringe D1 player go ...

Re: SOC Softball
I was talking to a burg parent yesterday. 6 of their starting 9 are verbally committed or signed to a college team. That is impressive for a local team.

Re: OVC this year?
Ironton was gutted. They lost 4 of their best 5 players. Pitcher, Second Base, and Center field to graduation, and Short Stop to transfer. They will be down. Way down. 8th grade looks strong, and can help next year.
