Re: athens county football fest
I would like to thank all the coaches for their help in organizing this. Also Jim and Stephanie Harris and Mike Bishop. Here is what we have planned. We decided that we are hopefully going to make this a yearly event and rotate hosting among the 5 county schools. Hopefully when it is your turn to ho...

Re: athens county football fest
At this time I am not sure as to what the events will look like. Once again, we have a meeting this weekend and these things will be decided then. We have a good committee of people and I don't want to make any decisions without the blessing of the whole group. However, I am thinking that we will ha...

Re: athens county football fest
I have a meeting with the coaches this weekend and we will finalize plans as to what the evening will look like at that time. We are planning to have events for the players to participate in. We will start at 6:00 and I will have each team on the air in intervals. We will have trivia for the fans to...

Re: Trimble Trivia 3.0 (last one)
I think the play was Rodney King to Wayne Kolby flea flicker.
Dr. Pappas played center.
I am very sure that Dooley was all-state in some aspect.

Re: Trimble Trivia 3.0 (last one)
Coach Faires beat Symmes Valley his first game then lost the next 4. Litteral's first lost was against Coal Grove, not Minford. Had my years mixed up we beat Green down there the first game the next year. You've got me stumped on this one. Holbert lost his first game to Green. Litteral lost to Coal ...

Re: Trimble Trivia 2.0
#4 must have been a tie
#5 Mike Roback
#6 St Ignatius
#8 4
#9 Tyler Dyla averaged 7.7 yards per carry for the year last year. I would have to think that would be very hard to beat.

#10 would have made a great question for the radio
Jamie Dunlap says Crooksville
Tom Hardy says Chuancey
I'll take a second guess of Roseville

He was moved to tailback the last couple of games of his junior season, I thought maybe Jumbo would have got ahead of him.
Mark Campbell is one of our all-time greats, can't believe he didn't come straight to mind.

Re: Trimble Trivia
Don't tell me the receiver is Jumbo Holbert. The class of 86 is the only one I can think of who had 3 different coaches in a row. I have no misconceptions about the rugged good looks of L.R. Faires. However, Dave Dupler might be my saving grace, I am certainly not as ugly as Dupe. So the awards look...

Re: Trimble Trivia
Coach Faires was 51 (to match his current age).
How about Greg Holbert as the receiver.
I think you should have a new question.
Who is the ugliest person to ever lead the Cats in rushing?
Tom Hardy or Dennis Orsborne, I can't decide

Re: Sultan of Smack another Thursday show
As evidence of my football prowess I offer exhibit A:
The beatdowns I constantly put on you Jackson boys on Dugan's weekly trivia contest. If the Cats win this week I think Mr. Hemsley should have to buy the Sultan dinner on the way to Zanesville or Cambridge for next weeks game.
