Re: Valley young in 2023
They return a solid group of young kids with lots of experience, and talent. Seems quite a few of them are putting in the work in the weight room. I know a few of the kids are hoping to get next level. I look for the hard work to pay off, and at least a few of those kids should be able to make it to...

Valley young in 2023
Thoughts on Valley going into 2023? They are returning a lot of young starters. I know they have a few current college bound kids in the senior class in all sports Are any of the young guys currently being looked at by anyone, and in what sport?

Re: Region 24: #15 Valley @ #2 Allen East
I would say normally you are right a 3-7 team who plays other teams their size, but Valley plays up all season. Whether or not that helps them in this game we will see. Kids are playing harder than ever, offensively i would recommend no huddle all game. It seems as if the rhythm and flow works bette...

Re: How did Eastern beat Northwest?
Most kids leave there for various reasons. No shame in doing what is best for your child. All the transfers I know of from NW and most other schools have been there prior to jr high. Maybe 1 or 2 came during jr high. So if they leave early, the best question to ask is why do they leave? Academics, A...

Re: Valley 7 - 60 Waverly 2022
I know of at least 4 transfers to Valley that do/will bring value to any program. Yes a couple are statters, and a few will be coming up next year, and the following years. They are great kids who are and will greatly benefit the program. I dont know the exact count through 7 to 12 but there are qu...

Re: Valley 7 - 60 Waverly 2022
Valley moving to the SOC I is not the answer. While it may always be hard for Valley to win the SOC II the schedule they play will benefit them in the playoffs. The playoffs will need to be the focus most years. Marion local has been in the MAC 47 seasons. They have won 8 MAC conference titles but ...

Re: Lineman love?
Valley's Senior Lakota Davis is a great lineman for his size. He does exceptionally well. Senior Levi Bush is also a very good lineman, and is quick for his size. Sophmore center Dane Smith plays is also very good for his age

Re: Valley 7 - 60 Waverly 2022
And we will be d7,, point being your still bigger. Congrats. What is your roster count and what is wests roster count? Be honest about this, our #'s are dropping, so is our roster count. Yeah we may pick some kids up but if we are still small, and take a handdful of injuries we do not have the #'s ...

Re: OVC and SOC Merger
Something like this should happen, and it does make too much sense. SOC board and OVC board should do the right thing by the kids and mege. It will allow a more balanced season, and make for better games all around.

Re: Valley 7 - 60 Waverly 2022
I was told Valley makes way more on ticket sales being in SOC 2 and that's one of the main reasons they won't leave. Can't say how true that is, just something I was told. You have said this before, do you believe this to be true or just someone's opinion? If it is true then it needs to be addresse...

Re: Valley 7 - 60 Waverly 2022
Not sure why some act like Northwest moved down and dominated. They have won one title and shared one in what, 8 years? Truth is you shouldn't have been allowed to drop you should of went independent or found another league. You have one if not the largest enrollments in Scioto County. It was not e...

Re: WK8 Portsmouth West - Valley
Would love to see my Valley team pull this one off. Anything can happen on any given Friday night. Keep the kids healthy, take care of our injured kids. Coach Crabtree will have an offensive plan. If executed with no errors we should be able to produce. Defensiveley not sure, after 7 weeks????? Good...

Re: Valley 7 - 60 Waverly 2022
Valley is currently what less then 8 to10 kids from being d7 currently, and has been close for past couple years. The numbers as Izladoom has said are not looking better. We thought we would be d7 this year, i understand SOC1 doesnt want Valley, but we do not have the#'s for SOC2. A D6 vs. D7 is bet...

Re: Valley 7 - 60 Waverly 2022
Jr. High wins does not equate to High School wins. Ask several schools around the area. It is nice for them to win, but equating that to HS success is not an accurate measuring tool. #'s matter, playing teams your size matters as well! We do play up, as everyone has said, so since we know that, wha...

Re: Valley 7 - 60 Waverly 2022
So what is the answer? Coaching is right? Kids are right? Everything is right? I keep hearing this, yes the move down is not the favorite option, but what option is better? This is not new the numbers are low, school size is not as big. Bigger schools are happy to keep us up, and schools our size do...
