Re: Coaching Openings
I'm going to predict it is not Howie but someone from a nearby school.

New OHSAA Division Breakdowns
Have all schools been placed into their respective 7 new divisions yet? I thought I read where the April OHSAA meeting was going to announce this list, but I'm not seeing it anywhere yet. Any information, insights out there?

Re: 14th Annual Caldwell Redskin Varsity Shoot-out June 29th
Field and schedule are set barring any last minute changes. Field is highlighted by a rematch from the D2 regional championship between Maysville and Warren. All teams will play 4 pool play games and an overtime tournament. 13 schools representing 5 different leagues (MVL, IVC, MOVL, Twin State, Bu...

Re: Coaching Openings
Pretty bum deal for Hill. Few points away from a share of the TVC title all while dealing with season ending injuries to his best players. Solid record, solid staff. Bizarre board move!! Didn’t Meigs finish the season with 5 or 6 players and yet still ended up 16-6? Bizarre to say the least. I agre...

Re: Coaching Openings
The posting on OHSAA doesn't specify if it's a boys or girls job! lol It is in fact boys. Why? The program is on a roll and a lot coming back. If it hadn't been for injuries late in the season, they would had an even better result! Any thoughts on whether Meigs hires within or looks elsewhere for t...

Re: Coaching Openings
Cambridge hired Logan McCort. 2016 St. C grad. Appeared to do a good job with the varsity girls last year with little talent. Spent the previous 5 years in the boys program. Doesn't Cambridge have a couple of talented guards (one that was injured most of last season) and another who can really shoo...

Re: Monroe Central
Transfer would come from high school outside the county. Monroe Central boys enrollment set at 130. Solidly places them in D6. Figures are up on OHSAA Enrollment figures are up but I don’t see a final divisional breakdown based on those numbers. If you know, provide a link. Thanks. Those enrollment...

Re: Where will howie coach next?
Congratulations on your outstanding career Coach Howie! Well done. Enjoy watching ball on your terms next season. I’m just guessing but I’d say he’s been watching ball on his terms. If you have ever seen he’s teams play then you’d understand it’s on his terms. I meant going to other games, watching...

Re: Coaching Openings
Circleville is open They lose a lot, but got a nice transfer already. Doesn’t seem like the most solid place with the admin though. I know that opinion boards like this one don't talk about student/player transfers much, but good thing the OHSAA has some regulation or there would be many transfers ...

Re: And then there is ONE ... Warren vs Maysville for the Golden Ticket to The Show (Today 4p Basketball :30 The Convo)
Outstanding season for Warren. Not quite what they wanted, but they went further than all but 8 D-II teams in the entire state. It's been said before, but Southeast D-II and East D-II had so much parity/equality this season. Different types of teams but 5 or 6 teams all very capable of making it to ...

Re: Regional Championship THE South Webster Jeeps vs Berlin Hiland
People are going to talk about the refs, I agree with Swank, Roberts got fouled. I also agree it should have been intentional for White. But the bottom line, it should have ended in regulation with the Jeeps win. They just ran out of gas. Hiland was the more conditioned team and the Jeeps made enou...

Re: Regional Championship THE South Webster Jeeps vs Berlin Hiland
These refs are absolute trash. Hiland can play one degree away from sexual assault You’re not allowed to criticize or comment on referees and style of calling a game. Referee's " style of calling a game " as you stated it IS a reasonable thing to comment or even criticize. Having said tha...

Re: Regional Championship THE South Webster Jeeps vs Berlin Hiland
Anything can happen, especially at tournament time. If Roberts is contained, I'd say Hiland by 18. If he has a solid game, Hiland by 5.
