Coal Grove opens the season at home. Against raceland.

Coal Grove beat Waterford 61-56 in their district finals, Hiland beat Strasburg 58-48 in their district finals.

Almost game time here in Athens.

Coal Grove has the possibility to win back to back district championships for the first time in the history of the program. I think they do and they move on to the regional semis.

Taking South Webster in this one. Watched the Blevins kid play against Coal Grove last year and he really impressed me. He’s a tough ball player.

Both teams should be thrilled to be here, because most picked both to be sitting at home. But I like rooting for the underdogs, I’m taking Valley in another upset.

I’ve seen Ironton play against Coal Grove twice now. The tigers are good. They’ll go as far as Large and Wilson can take them. It helps to have two expierence senior guards. I don’t see them having much trouble with Adena this game.

Can’t see West Union being able to compete with Peake. Seems like Peake is getting warm at the right time. Peake vs Ironton in an all OVC district title game? I see it happening.

Maybe the scare in the sectional championship was just what the Burg needed? I’m taking Wheelersburg in this one with an impressive bounce back performance.

Fairfield coming off a 57-39 win over Ironton St. Joe, Coal Grove is coming off a 70-42 win over Federal Hocking. 5:30 tip off at the Convo.

Don’t know much about Fairfield, but I gotta go with the Grover’s in this one as always. Hoping for a fun game with lots of energy.
