Re: The Price Of Steak!
You can blame Cargil for the price of beef going through the roof. They are the largest producer of beef in the country and also are the leading feed producer. They control the market. They are also the people who are trying to get the legislation passed that would require you to have all your anima...

Re: Peake and Westfall
I think what it is the fact that our recruiting budget was cut drastically after Persin left and we aren't getting the outside kids like we used to. Also since the sewer was put in and all the DNA quit going into our drinking water, the quality of Chesapeake players at all levels has diminished. I t...

Re: All time Southern Ohio Quarterbacks.
At the Peake I'm going with Kevin Rice, according to Barry Switzer he was the best hs option qb he'd every seen on tape. He went to Georgetown (KY) and led the nation in punting. He was also the student trainer. I know others from the Peake will get on here and ramble about this qb and that, but Kev...

He finished 18th at Cali, so you all will have to wait until the next race for the opportunity to take the kids out for a free meal at GC.

As a former Blue Knight (player & coach) I am always glad to see the Blue Knights come into SEO to get players. Best of luck at UU.

Re: Is the line of scrimmage a rule or just a suggestion?
I do agree that most of the time that it is the camera angle, but there are times that a player will get away with it until the coach gets in the refs ear about it. We played a team when I was at Urbana that the oline was always lined up in front of the ball, I saw it on tape after tape and so befor...

Re: fairland Board does it again
This board is no different than many of the other that have been at Fairland over the years. Look at all the shady things that have gone on with BOE at Fairland for years. When I coached Jr High at Fairland I got grief for not playing a board members son more, then had a board member make me get rid...

I found it amazing that they saw that flock of geese on radar since a flock of geese won't show up on radar. That's the report I heard this morning. NOT trying to start anything, just saying hhhmmmm.

Re: How to defend the spread?
We covered the TE with outside eye and inside eye from the two OSBs then according to where the tilt was with the nose the tackles would slide along the line. MLB set up outside eye of the center away from the tilt. When no TE one OSB would walk off and play on air with the other staying on th line ...

Re: Highlight Tapes for Potential College Athletes
Maybe at the big schools, but the other 85% of schools don't even know who is out their until late junior or into their senior year. Most schools don't have private film makers, most have their own equipment that is used by a guy that volunteers to do this. I had to do my own tape and that was back ...

Re: How to defend the spread?
Everything would depend where everyone is lined up, when we played Wilmington College who ran Sam Wyche's spread we ran a ba$tardedized version of the 46 (Bears) and the slant 43 (Pittsburgh) defenses. We melted them together and held them to only 18 points and their QB to only 220 yards passing, th...

Re: Chesapeake Panthers 2009
I guess I should have been more clear, to me when I talk about the weightroom I am talking about everything that goes into getting stronger. From lifting to pyrometrics to running to stretching, they all go hand in hand to make an athlete a better player. As I have stated in other posts, the Panther...
