Re: Coal Grove Football All Time Team
Without a doubt CG has had some great players. There is no way with that many great players could you ever say, these were the best. Best way to do it would be to break it down to 90s to present, 70s & 80s, 60s & back. Then I think you could come up with some great CG teams. It was my great ...

Re: The State of the Marshall Football Program
Let's put in prospective Snyder s**ks as a head coach. Probably a good position coach, but in over his head. If you all would go back to where Peake stated that Snyder isn't out at HS games, he didn't say that he was out a mandatory Big Green functions that are written into contracts. He should have...

As usual an Irontonian living in the past and giving an excuse for the lose.
Ball State got their butt kicked.

Unless they get in the weightroom, they will just be another team playing football. You win games in the off season, in the weightroom.

I like the concept of the new one but as most people I have heard comment it doesn't look like a Bison. It looks like a cross between a bison, bullwinkle, and a wolf.

Re: Marshall-UCF Post game call in show.
For anyone that hasn't been to Greenville, please take the time to go out of your way and visit NOWHERE, USA. ECU is a commuter school, meaning that on the weekend you won't find more than 3000 students left on campus if that many. Don't get me wrong ECU does have somethings going for it, mainly it ...

Coaches can be at open gym, this isn't college. If it's like Chesapeake was, open gym is just that open gym and old players come in and play with current players.

Re: Marshall-UCF Post game call in show.
85inside have you ever been to Greenville. Greenville isn't even close to being better than Huntington. Heck they don't even have a mall that is worth going to. The campus does have a few more places to eat, everything from Subway to ChickFilA and a McDonald's Cafe on the corner. I think that Huntin...

Re: hardest high school football hits ever seen?
Another great hit hit was by my late friend Bobby Jenkins against Fairland our senior year. To set it up we were down late in the 4th quarter and had to punt. Bobby was at the right guard and I was at the left guard and Fairland didn't cover us so we were able to go as soon as we got our count out. ...

Re: Marshall-UCF Post game call in show.
Why is it that ECU which is in nowhere USA is fine for the C-USA, but Marshall should have stayed in the MAC to win. It doesn't matter where you are you just have to recruit the talent to come to town and Marshall hasn't been recruiting that much talent.

Re: Marshall-UCF Post game call in show.
That's the best he has at QB. You have to know how to recruit before you can recruit. I heard Snyder was going back to OSU to be a manager. When you are as bad as he and his staff is you have to start over at the bottom.

Not to many Compston's in this world. I coached with a Denny Compston at WV Tech and he always looked in the phone book when we were on the road to see there was any and there usually wasn't.

Re: Holdbacks
First off was the rule that denied a student to stay back in 7th or 8th grade ever rescended or is it getting the head turn look the other way policy of the OVC? If this rule was not rescended then any player who has stayed back, any wins should be turned into a forfeit and any record that by this i...

Re: hardest high school football hits ever seen?
Without a doubt the hardest hit I ever saw was in Wytheville, VA at a high school game. There was some bad blood between the to players that this happened to. The kid from Wytheville his girlfriend went to the other school and some of the players had given her a hard time and one had gotten personal...

Re: WK 10 Chesapeake @ South Point
Yeah CB knows all about the weight room since I am the one that taught it to him. Plus I think he learnt a thing or two from me along the way, at least I hope so. But, to win more than the OVC or make it to the playoffs and lose you need more than a few guys in the weight room, you need everyone com...

Re: WK 10 Chesapeake @ South Point
Sounds like the cycliners have stopped working at the Peake. Maybe it's time for Davis to step aside and give someone else a shot at building the Panther Nation. They need a better weight program to play the game. You can't build muscle by walking past the weights to the shower. No weight program, n...

Time For Marshall Football Coach To Resign
Ok, I've been a big fan of Marshall football my whole life. Lived through the good & bad. Sat in the stands at Fairfield and Edwards Stadium. The past few years I have watched Marshall football fall apart, first with Preutt and now even more with Snyder. Even when people was hollaring for Snyder...
Re: OVC
Look I played, coached, and recruited in the OVC and I can tell you the conference is not that strong, probably as weak in the past 5 years as I have ever seen it. Don't get me wrong, cause I love SEO football, but the conference is not conpetitive.

They have a mountain lion running around Big Branch in Chesapeake. Kill a fat tomcat about two weeks ago. It's around Slop Hollar and Sun Valley Subdivision.
