Re: Coaching Openings
I really hope this is not true. Did he just take the job to get #800? I know his health isn't the best which i understand but why even take the job or why even give it to him if he was only going to be there for a year?

Re: POY in Soc3 predictions
Taunting is a big issue these days in high school sports. It's ok to show emotion but when you do it at an opposing player or their team then to me that results in a T.

Re: POY in Soc3 predictions
Lattimore should of got POY. Copley took way more shots than him and the team was not very good. Copley is good and even if you put good players around him he is still going to score. Do I think his #'s increase or decrease not sure. Teams prepared to stop him which led him to force a lot of shots, ...

Re: South Webster 22-3 vs. Leesburg Fairfield 22-3 REGIONAL SEMI
Let a coach be himself. If a coach is intense then let him be intense, if the players respond to it then nothing wrong with it. Some kids you do have to coach different and a coach should understand that but you have to let a coach be himself on the sidelines. Winning does cure all. Intense coaches ...

Re: N W VS BURG
I was all over NW because they didn't play Burg or Minford during the regular season. I can understand why now, Scarberry wanted to get his team confidence. Losing to burg in the regular season may of gave his team some doubt and that doubt may of carried over into tournament time. NW to me is a com...

Re: D3 Regional Semi-Final, Northwest vs. Malvern
NW plays basic basketball and it works. Nothing flashy. Just a basic game plan, play defense, rebound, and run their offense. They got their confidence during the regular season and that allowed them to that confidence into the tournament.

Re: North Adams vs Minford Round 2
To me, two reason why he still has the Minford job. #1- he is a minford guy. #2- he has coached these guys since they were in biddy ball and such. Once this crew leaves and if he continues to underachieve then he will be gone. Minford should of been in regionals these last 2 years.

Re: 3/3 Northwest v Portsmouth
NW executed their game plan. They did not even guard Livingston on the perimeter and kept Boland inside to help with any drives. As far as pressing, you have to score in order to get into a set press. Scarberry is a great coach and when you have talent it makes the coach look even better. I'm not su...

Re: 2/29 Notre Dame v Trimble
As far as fouling, that is a philosophy thing and if you don’t practice late game situations it could turn out bad. Also, ND had their foot on the gas pedal early in 1st then went zone. I would have stayed in man and pressured the ball like they were doing. They created turnovers which led to points...

Re: 2/29 Notre Dame v Trimble
I like ND in this one. ND has 3 underrated guards in Barbartits, Bradford, Thomas, and you can throw in Phillips who can get out watch out. I look forward to Mini Rodman (Marcell Woods) to have a big night with his defense and hustle. Metzler inside, sounds like a plan for success. ND shot the ball ...

Re: Coaching Openings
I agree. Going away from the district may be a good thing. If these coaches have been on staff for awhile then it may be the same stuff/system that didn't work then and probably won't work now. If your successful and have had the same staff for years then yes go in house but rock hill has not been g...

Re: 3/3 Northwest v Portsmouth
NW schedule was not very tough. I don't see why they did not play Minford or Burg. I can understand them wanting to get success and get a better seed for the tournament but come on now. Biggest school in the county and playing in the middle divison SOC with schools that should be in the SOC I. NW is...

Re: Burg v/s Valley
If Copley gets 30+ then he puts valley in position to win. Maybe 35+. I would immediately pick up Copley every time he has the basketball, any ball screens for him trap and rotate. You have to get the basketball out of his hands. He sees the floor well but hard to see the floor with hands up and tra...

Re: Notre Dame vs Western D4 Sectional Championship
Western is struggling. At first, I thought it was the schedule they played but getting blown out by NW and Clay gave them a good game. Not sure on what is going on. I did think this game had potential upset and still do but my % of this has decreased due to the way Western has been playing. Yes, the...

Re: South Webster vs North Adams 2/19/24
Excellent hustle from Shupert. Hit the free throw to make it a 3 point game. Runs down on the other end and blocks the game tieing shot. Pretty good game all around. Just wish SW would put some pressure on the ball up the floor and run a little more. 8-9 legit deep can do that. And with this zero p...
