Re: SOC to vote on 3 Football Divisions (Thurs.)

Never quite understood the SOC 1 and 2 being considered 1 conference. SOC 1 should take care of their affairs and SOC2 theirs. Also, non football schools shouldn't even have a say what conferences football school play football in. Besides, rumor has that the vote was shadier than 2020's Mail in and...

Re: Minford Football

Is Kaskey a teacher at wheelersburg? Does he want to teach at Minford if hired? Does it matter? I’ve always thought a coach has better odds if they’re working in the district but that’s certainly not a guarantee of success.

Re: SOC to vote on 3 Football Divisions (Thurs.)

Why are people insistent on placing the D6 Valley squad in the "Big" conference? Makes no sense to me. You gain nothing getting beat up on by WB, West and Waverly if you are a small school. And truthfully, we get nothing out of it but a W and a few playoff points. I would rather play NW w...

Re: What will it take for an SEOP area team to rise up to state-level competitor?

Simply put, an economic and population influx that this area hasn’t seen since the steel mill era.

Sure there will be a team or two a decade make a run. But SEO will never be perennial contenders. More than half of kids earning varsity letters would be riding the pine outside of SEO.

Re: SEO and the S is for SOFT

"S" is for Sensitive. They cannot accept constructive criticism. SEO and the fan support is the best I've ever seen. But, they cannot accept a differing point of view when it comes to the product produced on the field. I dont lose sleep over any of this nonsense. I wish the kids the best ...

Re: Minford Football

Did Pendelton have coaching experience before Ironton? IMO Minford needs younger coach that has good relationship with the kids and can rebuild the program and get kids to come out. I see your point. In this case I think the peewee culture is a lot of the problem so I don’t see elevating someone fr...

Re: Minford Football

I am not from the community, but only 2 I heard confirmed were Paul Carver and Josh Bailey. Would be rare someone like Bailey (unless I’m mistaken) without significant HS assistant experience even get an interview, imo. If those are indeed the only two, that is a testament to how far the program ha...

Re: Minford Football

From an outsider's perspective: Minford's culture will never change until their toxic peewee culture changes. The parents obsess over peewee championships or undefeated JH seasons, and think it should translate to being state champs. Look at the historically dominant programs in the state (Burg, Ma...

Re: Minford Football

What makes anyone think Jeremy Frazie has any interest in being head coach? The guy is running a very involved business. I don’t think he would have the time to dive into it. The new coach needs to get the pee wee parents in line before football closes up shop completely. You’ve got insane parents p...
