“Howie’s Nest” in Reedsville and “The Howie Dome” in Glouster. I believe both have been officially named and he has been the most successful coach at both schools and it’s not even close. Is Howie the only coach to have gym’s at two different schools named after him?

In the last few decades Howie had total control over the refs but when he was at Southern he said he got a lot of help from the fans. In those days the refs knew better than to make a bad call against them or they’d have to answer to the boys sitting down in front.
