Now that camp has come and gone and we’re heading into 2 a days, how are teams looking? Any new guys making an impact? Any big transfers in or out?
It’s hard to believe we are only a month out from week 1!

Re: 2025 ALL-STAR GAMES
MVL makes it 4 in a row with a final score of 34-15 Total domination by MVL, physically and athletically. The score makes it seem much closer than it was. MVL went right down the field on first drive of game to score. Max Lyall to Bentley Hanson huge completion set up 1 yard rush by Jayden Wallace. ...

Any word on how the showcase went yesterday at Tri Valley? Had a great time last year watching it but was unable to go this time around.

Re: 2025 MVL Projections
Yes, would not expect Zanesville to be smaller than either. West definitely inheriting some kids with their recent successes, as well Maysville if Bowman can get them turned around. I could be wrong, but I believe last years numbers set the divisions for the next realignment with Morgan and Maysvill...

Re: 2025 MVL Projections
Two bigs going down, two smalls going up. The shrinking of River View is huge going from 5th biggest to 2nd smallest. Would assume these would take shape in the next realignment of the league. Happy to see Crooksville has dropped back down to D6 where they belong. It was asinine to see them in D5 la...

Re: Crooksville Job
Have not heard anything; however, the downside to taking a job middle of the year is that it’s the middle of the year. Rarely is a candidate let out of their current contract to go elsewhere. He most certainly could be hosting after school workouts once his day at FCA ends - which he may very well b...

Re: OHSFCA North-South Football Games Rosters Released
6 MVL players on the rosters this year. A little surprised some more big school players weren’t on it. Would assume Board being a coach on the small school roster had an impact on getting some other MVL guys onto the roster. Definitely excited to get up to Massillon to watch the game in April and se...

2025 MVL Projections
With the winter season all but over, save Maysville’s bball title game, it’s time to completely forget that spring sports exist and look ahead to the fall! 7on7’s, showcases, and more will be on the horizon. Let’s take a way too early look at the 2025 MVL Football season. MVL JR/SR Showcase was post...

Re: Tri-Valley has 4 key seniors from the 11-1 team sign with D2 Walsh
The article definitely sheds light on the hurdles HS kids face in trying to go to the next level. I also felt like the quotes painted a picture that they were too good for Walsh, which probably falls back on the Times Recorder author for using the quotes he did as HS kids aren’t always cognizant of ...

Re: Carper done at Zanesville
Congratulations to Coach Pardon. Not who I would’ve expected, but has HC experience and had success building. Fairfield Christian and Crooksville are very different situations. Crooksville has had some success the past couple years in NON-LEAGUE but then when they get to league play they have 1 win ...

Re: Carper done at Zanesville
Surprised this hasn’t been filled yet. This was a job posted earlier than almost every other job in this area and still no coach. It’s nearly February, so I wonder when this will get filled. Have heard no news.
Crooksville is the same boat; thought they would have had their spot filled as well.

Re: Top Coaches for Top Job
If that’s the case, Marietta must not have gotten many applicants. I don’t know Jimmy Bell personally and certainly don’t know the entire circumstances he saw at Belpre, but they were among the worst teams in the state during his short tenure with points scored/allowed. I know being a former Buckeye...

Re: Carper done at Zanesville
Clarke did let his players know he is stepping down; which was pretty well known with his health. Continued thoughts and prayers to him!! The toughness and grit he showed going to practice each day was incredible with the fight he was battling. The job has not been posted to the state website. Howev...
