Re: Ironton Fighting Tigers 2008
Hey pirates1 I'm all for the Burg doing well. Come August 22 though I believe coach Woodward may get a rude initiation into head coaching. Last season the Burg had their way, Lutz and the boys won't be so overwhelmed this time. Expect a much different team than the one you all saw last year open the...

Re: Bad move by Law Co. CAO Headstart
Sure is sad to hear, spent a ton of days on that court growing up. Some of my most fond memories were actually playing their. Man we had a heck of a crew back in those days.

Re: Ironton Fighting Tigers 2008
I feel Ironton has the potential to be good. How good depends on the amount of work guys put in between now and August. Ironton has many returning contributors, that can be good and bad. While Ironton did play a number of sophs last year the overall team play was'nt always good. One only needs to lo...

Do you feel safe crossing the Ironton/ Russell bridge?
Nearly every time I cross that bridge I have thoughts of a wreck or collapse. Got to wondering the other day, do other people have these thoughts.

Tony Murphy has the ability to be good. How good is up to him. He really needs to be in better shape by next season. But this group as a whole was ugly. They got destroyed by every offense with a pulse. So for them to turn around with basically the same personnel and just be good would be nice. But...

I believe in the new plans there will be a faculty parking lot behind the south endzone of the stadium. Thats great for the faculty but how about a new building in that end of the stadium. Seems to me that would work even better. Perhaps even a joint facility with OUSC. You could even design it to g...

Chillman, that is funny. Not too many mines that I know of in this area. I have heard many times that Ironton is a blue collar town. That all those boys are tough because their fathers work in the foundries. At one time that was true but one drive down the streets of I'town will prove otherwise. Ano...

If Ironton does ever decide to put in field turf I hope they move the field closer to the home grandstands. there is no need for that large seperation from the field. It would greatly improve the viewing from the home side. Also by doing so you would create more distance from the track on the visito...

Is Hamilton Twsp the school Coach Jacoby left Col. Desales for? I'm pretty sure it is. I would expect him to have that team ready to play. He is an excellent coach. I would'nt doubt some of his ties in Columbus would net him some transfers also. I expect this to be a very competitive game. NY has do...

Great to hear for both schools. This may be a nice matchup. Should be a nice game for computer points for either school. I will definatly be heading up to see this one. I have heard many nice things about the field at NY and look forward to seeing it. NY has a nice program. Good job by both schools ...

I know driving by today I about cried seeing the old gym coming down. Most of all I hated not seeing that big boiler house and stack with the pine trees. Looking at the backs of those houses just does'nt quite have the same effect on me. I have said numerous times when talking about upgrades to the ...
