This is going to be a smash mouth war. Nothing fancy, two teams going strength on strength. This battle will be fun to watch if you like physical football. This game will most likely be decided in the trenches. Who wants it more.

I know Ironton sr league boys are playing in baseball state championship game tomorrow. I'm sure a few may be potential freshman which play football. If so they may have at least a few more boys soon.

I think moving the field closer to the home grandstand would be a good idea. Would bring the action closer to the crowd. Hats off to Portsmouth, they came to play. Seems like to big a stage for ironton. They just don't play fundamental enough when matched with great talent.

Wouldn't Jd Cyrus have been on that team also then. Jd Coffman I assume would have had he not fallen ill. Not sure though.

Has there been any word on potential college coaches in attendance for the classic? It was neat seeing rick pitino and bob Huggins last year. Hopefully if "the mouth" decides to announce who's there he won't butcher it like last year.

Ironton plays plenty of teams that prepare them for the playoffs so I don't see why playing some that might not is that big a deal. I'm sure they will have the teams you mentioned. Some friends of mine that are in the know tell me they are scheduled to play Oak Hill, Ohio next year. If they told me its probably a done deal. They did'nt tell me what week.

Congrats to those who are moving on. Had alot of fun and thanks for the time and effort. Missed out again by losing one game. Went with my heart and took the Ironton "fighting" Tigers and it cost me. Looking forward to playing again next year.

I will be there again this year. Been going with the same group of great guys for about 20 years. Looking forward to this years games. I think we'll see some great talent and awesome games. Just hoping the weather cooperates.
