Re: Portsmouth West Lady Senators
I think this is a good hire and West has a chance to be sneaky good this year. They would probably have been a headache in D VI this year but looks like they jump to D V.

Re: Fort Frye
Fort will play Ottawa Glandorf, Celina, and Arcadia tomorrow at ohio northern shootout. Good teams that we would normally never face. Any word on the results? Should have been a good weekend start. Arcadia is smaller and has struggled other than a couple of years ago with a good class. Celina is a ...

Re: Fort Frye
I'm still not sure what people expected the school to do IF the union contract stipulates that they have to hire a qualified teacher if they apply. So this seems to be a lot to do about nothing unless I missed something. As far as the staff, what little I have found I don't see where Kasun ever coa...

Re: Fort Frye
Good call on Kasun. It was not Fed Hock but he was at Meigs. And I agree that the kids would not go to Waterford, probably due to the crap they would get if they decided to do something like that. But I really don't see them going anywhere to be honest. I think they stay and they play.

Re: Fort Frye
I am not sure this was an agenda or anything from the administration. I think it is in the union contract that if a teacher applies they get it if they are qualified and she is more than qualified. Regarding the players, they will still play and they will have a good year. Having Hiland back in thei...

Re: Let's Talk TVC Ohio & Hocking
Playoff seeding will be hurt for these teams having Belpre and the Lancers on the schedule. Glad to have football back but FH won't help with points.

Re: Let's Talk TVC Ohio & Hocking
Will football be affected at Trimble with their economic situation? I would be shocked if so but who knows. Heard they cut out bussing.

Re: Fort Frye
I think that is true. Also I think people are happy with his results but only the kids that get to play like him - but is that really that different from everywhere else. But I think the boys program was down to very few players his last few years there and shot back up after he left. Now the girls ...

Re: Fort Frye
I thought a lot of the kids didn’t play because of him, especially from the sophomore class.

Re: TVC hocking predictions?
This year marked the tenth time in 13 years that the TVC Hocking has been represented in the state Final four. Seven of those years were in the championship game with four state championships. Some of those years we had two teams fighting it out in the regionals. This year we also had 3 teams in the...

Re: Waterford State Champions
Agreed on the congrats to the Wildcats. And they don't win it without the Hawk on the bench. And the Skyvue alumni had a big week with the MC win so Congratulations to you as well.skyvue wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 3:04 pm Congrats to Waterford on another state title! Especially happy for the former Skyvue Hawk on the coaching staff.

How many did Kawasaki end up with today?danicalifornia wrote: Sat Mar 22, 2025 5:56 pm I hope they’ve tallied up the distance on those back to back bombs that Kwasniak hit to get his team back in the game
They are down 38-34 at the half, but he’s got 23 and has been ridiculous

Re: Monroe Central 24-25
Wonderful game by MC. They were able to negate the inside game of ML, especially in the first half. ML had 10 until late in the first half. Farnsworth was probably player of the game leading them in points and playing strong defense. Thought they slowed it down a little early but the foul situation ...

Re: Boys State Championship Games
They were the same way in the girls for Fort Loramie vs Waterford. Regardless, MC played stellar D today and should have been goo oven equal respect.

Re: Waterford State Champions
This was a great game to watch and I am glad I changed my mind and went to it instead of watching it on TV. Seeing both crowds, the interactions on the court away from the camera and talking to people from both sides make the in-person viewing much better for me. Waterford and Fort Loramie are two e...

Re: TVC hocking predictions?
I think things went pretty much to form. Waterford had some issues early which every program goes through. The difference with Waterford is that they identify those issues and nip them in the bud. Somewhere near mid year, Close could see how things were going, got them corrected and made it possible...

Re: Division VII State Championship Waterford vs Fort Loramie
Agree that it should be a really good game and a big time defensive battle. First one to 30 may win. But that has been the case in Waterford's two championships so who knows.
Curious where Spiderjohn has been and what the coaching staff is thinking. Worries me that he's been silent.

Re: Monroe Central 24-25
MC is the favorite here. I think the schedule they have played bodes well for them now. Kirtland has good guard play which will be interesting to see how MC matches up (defensive assignments) with them. I haven't seen MC live much but the Warren game was convincing, in my opinion. After this, I thin...
