Re: Week 3: River Valley (2-0) @ Eastern (0-2)
I bet the Eagles would like to get RV off the schedule too! Eagles are too young! Does anybody on this team actually want to hit anybody? I haven't heard the pads crack but a few times. Could be a long night for the people in green. Do the Eagles gain any respect this week, or do they lay down and t...

Re: Eastern @ (Hannibal) River - Week 1
Does River have anybody to fill the shoes of #5 from last year? That guy was a beast at WR.

Re: Eastern @ (Hannibal) River - Week 1
Eastern turned the ball over 5 or 6 times last year. Lost 16-12 I think. Both teams have significant starters returning, and both lost some key players. If the green team holds on to the ball, they have a chance.

Re: Is Meigs any good?
Meigs will probably be a pretty solid team this year and will be above average. Unfortunately for them, their schedule probably wont let their record be above average.

Re: Eastern @ (Hannibal) River - Week 1
Heard Eastern looked pretty good in their scrimmage against Green. Of course, I don't know how good Green is expected to be this year. Anybody know about who River scrimmages, or if they have yet?

Re: Can we drop the TVC expansion thing?
Belpre isn't growing. Belpre is shrinking. Fast. If you compare Belpre today to Belpre ten years ago, there is a huge drop in enrollment. Compare Belpre today to Belpre forty years ago and it's like half the size it used to be. Belpre was larger than Nelsonville-York, Alexander and Wellston at one ...

Re: Can we drop the TVC expansion thing?
So if you kicked Trimble's aszz when you were in school what is different now? I'm sure Eastern was not much bigger in the mid 90's than they are now, but Trimble was bigger. Uhh.....read above...pretty sure I answered that. A revolving door of coaches at Eastern, compared to rock solid stability i...

Re: Can we drop the TVC expansion thing?
The current superintendent has been there a few years. Josh Fogle is the new Athletic Director. A little digging could tell you the problems in the past. Games being scheduled against the coach's request, etc. This went for all sports. Hopefully whatever internal issues that have been going on are ...

Re: Can we drop the TVC expansion thing?
Who said I only thought it was a good idea to benefit Eastern? It doesn't benefit anyone to split the Hocking. Their are a few schools that want away from Trimble, that's it. SG doesn't want to travel up to Athens or Perry County and they don't want anything to do with Wahama or Trimble. Same with ...

Re: Can we drop the TVC expansion thing?
I for one am all for the league splitting into 3 divisions. It would make for more balanced competition. Just an example, but did you know Belpre's enrollment was over double that of Eastern's this year? So Belpre is the reason you guys can't win?? You guys just want away from Trimble lol No one ha...

Re: Eastern @ (Hannibal) River - Week 1
Eastern returns a junior Jett Facemyer at QB, Cam Richmond at WR, and Ross Keller and Chase Williams on the O-Line. There are several others returning that played significant time last year as the season progressed. Austin Life, Mac Browning, and Corbett Catlett played significant minutes up front l...

Re: Week8:Trimble (7-0) vs Eastern (4-3)
After the big win at Wahama, look for the Eagles to give the Tomcats their toughest test of the season so far. (Which isn't saying much). I don't see a repeat of the 1995 butt whooping the Eagles gave Trimble at home, but nobody thought the Eagles would beat Wahama either. Gonna be tough for the Eag...

Eastern @ Wahama
Eagles get a huge win 32-21! Dominated on both sides of the ball. Wahama had one big run by the FB, a kickoff return for a TD, and a Hail Mary for a TD. 3 big plays and that was it. Great win by the Eagles!
