Basketball today is nothing like how it used to be!!! So much more physical back in the day. Wasn’t uncommon to see 15+ dunks in a game. It’s soft boy basketball nowtigertown67 wrote: Fri Jan 09, 2026 9:26 pm Threw down 7 dunks in a quarter back in my day, yet nobody wants to talk about that.

Re: Valley @ Waverly 1/9
Not sure if you’re even speaking English but ok. I agree. Needs to work on shot selection definitely. Not their best game. McBride looked efficient today and needs to see more minutes.

Re: waverly boys
Well this is horrible! Waverly has to learn how to play team ball or else this is going to be a long second half of the season. Lots of missed opportunities in transition and poor shot selection. Still unsure why they won’t give Kinnison a chance. I’ve seen him play and he really does have the abili...

Re: waverly boys
Waverly’s fine, we’ve got the best shooter since prime Reggie Miller, Davion McBride. Don’t forget about Kinnison. He’s got some real potential to be great with the starters out. Looking forward to this game. He’s probably better than Kage if he really played the minutes. I agree. He’s been underut...

Re: DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP Waverly (7) vs Unioto (2)
Well, this is what I know to be true. When you have kids who think they are NBA stars in high school who wanna run the show and not be team plyers, things tend to not work out for the "team". However, when this team played together and it wasnt an all for one ordeal, they were on fire. Yo...

Re: DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP Waverly (7) vs Unioto (2)
Honestly was never close. Zickafoose and Welch locked up 10. Not sure if coaching made much of a difference in this one… I’m not sure if we watched the same game or not, but waverly ran zero sets other than the first play of the game which was a lob set thrown off the rim that was wide wide open, n...

Re: DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP Waverly (7) vs Unioto (2)
All I can say to that game is wow…. Not the outcome I expected. I’m assuming a lot of parents are pretty frustrated with the coaching during that game, probably gonna cause some Facebook stirs if you know the teams history 😂 i was thinking Bradley might’ve saved his job but after the lack of coachin...

Re: What is going on at Waverly
My prediction is with the way this season is going few will be playing or even left at Waverly if the coaching doesn’t change or parents keep feeding egos

Re: What is going on at Waverly
Yes fair in Ross county is usually the first week of August. In my opinion making kids choose between that and “mandatory” basketball practice is a choice

Re: What is going on at Waverly
The issues at Huntington started was when he made practices mandatory during the fair. Some pretty unrealistic expectations seem to be set looking from the outside in, coming from parents and coaches. Doesn’t seem like anyone can be happy at waverly no matter what. Should just scrub the whole progra...

Re: What is going on at Waverly
Having issues at 3 different schools should tell you something. I look for him to apply else where next year, possibly Minford if there is an opening. Coaching has changed these days and if your not a "legend" coach or a coach that your parents played for then newer/younger coaches do not...

Re: What is going on at Waverly
Hard to sit around and blame parents when this is the third time this has happened to Bradley in a matter of 3 schools. Something doesn’t sound quite right to blame the parents at Adena, Huntington & Waverly? From the insight I’ve been given, the kids are dealing with a fair amount of emotional...
