Easton is a great kid and a hard worker. Ironton got themselves a future star and leader. Hope he has a great year but I’d only expect to see him on specials and mop up duty. I know he is a “freshman” but he will have his license to drive soon. He’s not your typical freshman.

Few things… Coach Michael is great and the things he’s doing/wants to do is exactly what needs to happen. With Caudill getting a better NIL deal at Ironton, the likelihood of them winning more than 3-4 games is extremely unlikely. This isn’t a fault of the coach. The depth, the talent, the size etc ...

Minford has hired a new head basketball coach. To be approved at the next school board meeting next week. Last job was coaching small college ball on the girls side. More details to come I’m sure.

I just hope they hire someone who cares about the kids, the program, and school. Being a Falcon isn’t always easy, but most of us say it’s worth it. We have great kids but lack school support at times.

Waverly is the best opening IMO for the chance to win right away. Minford and Ironton will always have nice athletes and long term both of those are probably more sustainable.

I’ve seen Montgomery get hot and he’s definitely played some high level basketball. I don’t look for the moment to be too big for him or Kayser. Just hope the supporting cast can relax and play their roles the same as they have all season.
