Re: WK 12: THE BURG @ THE WOOD

Just curious, why did Burg play Ridgewood at RW last year??? Burg finished 3rd and Wood finished 5th in the region. Burg didn't play Wood at Wood last year if i remember correctly I think it was in Lancaster or somewhere like that but wood was the home team though but I do know that it was at a neu...

Re: Pfloyd's Preseason Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio "coming soons" ...

Based of of the information provided above (has not moved and participated at another school, technically the player would only be eligible for the 1st half of the season of any sports played the previous year. If it was to be turned in and investigated. Incorrect he will not be eligible in ANY spo...

Re: West at BURG

This is bush league no matter how anyone tries to spin it. I don't think there's a by-law in SOC charter that prohibits alumni from working a home game, but it just looks bad. When the rest of the SOC schools start hiring their alumni during Burg week, remember where the precedent was established. ...

Re: Region 19:playoff scenario

We will see. 8-) Zane Trace only having 49 second level points through 8 weeks hurts them to get a home game. 6 wins: VC (5-2) They other 5 wins are (6-30). There are going to be some really bad blowouts in the first and second rounds because the OHSAA put 16 teams in to make more money. 1st round ...

Re: Week 8: Wheelersburg vs Waverly

I’ve never put much stock into bulletin board material. Lol. Especially from seops. Do kids even get on chat forums? Now if that was tik tokked, then it’s on! Lol I know some kids get on here and for the ones who don't the coaches let them know. Any motivation helps no matter the source but in riva...

Re: Week 8: Wheelersburg vs Waverly

I think Burg O-line will control the LOS pretty effectively this week. I look for a 300 yard rushing game. What was once thought to be a weakness is now the strength of the team. Credit the staff for making personnel changes and tweaking the offense to suit the athletes. 24-14 Burg

I support the idea of another year of high school to get kids caught up academically but not be eligible for sports.

Re: Wheelersburg @ Jackson

Burg couldn't move the ball against the huge D-line of Pikeville. What makes anyone think they will move it against the D-line of Jackson?? Burg is young and inexperienced at O-line and the QB position. Not sure what the answer is for Burg on whether to stay with Stamper and get him ready for the n...

Re: Wheelersburg @ Jackson

My Favorite matchup every year. Mutual respect and always a tough game played with a lot of class. Andy always has his team ready for this game. I think we are slight underdogs this year but records don't mean much in this one. Hope for an injury free game and Burg by a FG late.

Re: Burg vs Ironton 2021

I believe Burg will put a running clock on the Tigers early in the 4th if not late 3rd. I have felt like Burg was going to win a close one before all of the losses Ironton has suffered and now I feel like this one gets ugly. I also look for Pendleton to lose his cool and make an A$$ of himself when ...

Re: Ironton v Burg 2021

There are going to be a lot of people very surprised this year. I mean VERY surprised. I heard last week's strength testing raised some eyebrows. Lack of Jimmie's and Joe's not an issue... It's always good to have at least one "Jimmy" on the team. And if you throw in a few "Joe's&quo...
