Ironton by 2-3 scores. wheelersburg 2017 was a very good team. But, if they had to play Kirtland or a MAC school, they wouldn't have won the title. They were VERY lucky regarding the teams they DIDN'T have to play. Way to much talent on that (and many other) Ironton teams.

XandOs, I agree with your post. A lot of folks are making negative comments on here despite being 3-0 against otherwise unbeaten teams. But, I think they are underachieving on Friday nights in regard to their execution. Ironmen98, I'm with you in that they're not living up to the hype. IMO, 3 things...

Yabba, you can say what you want. The last 8 quarters of Ironton-wheelersburg competition.. something like 70-12. If they actually do improve, maybe they'll come within 3 TDs the next time.

Burg 2017...didn't have to play Kirtland or any MAC school. Otherwise, they wouldn't have won the title. They were VERY lucky in regard to who they had to play in the playoffs that year.

I'm not sure any of them were "forced". No credit given... blowout if no turnovers and without stupid penalties.
