Re: SVC Predictions

Until someone beats them, Westfall has to be considered the favorite. I will be rooting for the Red Streaks each week. They have a tough non-conference schedule, and have to focus on each and every opponent, not looking past any particular team. Based on returnees, they have a chance to have a very ...

Re: Least Favorite Player in MLB

Back in the day, the LA Dodgers. Lately, Barry Bonds and Manny Ramirez (why did/do they have to make such a production out of hitting a home run? Would loved to have seen them do that with Bob Gibson or Don Drysdale on the mound.)

Re: Piketon vs. Waverly

eagles73, What about turning the the soccer field into a football filed? Plenty of room for bleachers, locker rooms, and concessions. It seems there are more people at one football game than all of the soccer games combined. And as long as the weather is decent, parking on the practice fields could ...

Coach Lisath, I for one would like to see you end your career at Piketon. I look for great things in the upcoming year.

Keep in mind that when BJ Mullens committed to Ohio State as a Freshman people were laughing at both he and Ohio State. Kids grow and get better.

Why would he be hired for the girls job when he was let go from the boys job a few years back?

I saw where Josh Hamilton was batting .336 for the Rangers, with 5 homers and 28 RBI's. The Reds traded the wrong outfielder.

Re: Millionaires running the country.

To whomever wants to respond to this... You are elected to the Presidency today. What would you do during the next 4 to 8 years as you run the country? Keep in mind that you have Congress to deal with, as well as the ACLU, the EPA, the NEA, the AFL/CIO, all of the assorted lobbyists and influence pe...

eagles73, My kid is going to sing Carrie Underwood. I don't know which song, but she isn't allowed to sing the one about scraping the guys car, cutting his tires ('Before He Cheats', I think.) Is the bathroom BYOTP?

As long as he doesn't insist on catching. It's been about 5 years since he threw a runner out. Heck, I could steal a base on him!

Re: 2008-09 Piketon Redstreaks

I would disagree about Piketon being the best team in the league last year. They had 1 Senior starter and 1 Senior off the bench, 2 Junior starters and 2 off the bench, 1 Soph. starter and 1 off the bench, and 1 Fresh. starter and 2 off the bench. While the talent was definitely there, melding it to...

Re: Coach Jordan of Southeastern

While it's hard to argue with Jordan's record, this probably will not result in the death of Southeastern basketball. Piketon has gone thru this twice in the last several years, with Morris Gullion not being renewed for football, and Brett Coreno not being renewed for basketball. While the football ...

SVC 2008/2009

With the season done (except for the various All-Star games) now is the time to start looking ahead towards next season and begin all of the talk about who has got what returning, who's playing who, and so on. As a Red Streak fan, I'm looking forward to what the Streaks have returning: 4 starters- S...

Because they are in a non-BCS conference. It stinks, as does Dayton net getting in. In spite of what the bozos of the NCAA say, it's all about the jack.

Re: Bill Cunningham...speaking his mind, gets flack.

I would much rather have Willie running for President than any of the ones we currently have to choose from. He speaks the truth without regard for how politically incorrect it may be. Maybe if more of our politicians would do so now and in the future, our country could be rescued from itself.

Re: 2/24 Wheelersburg vs. Piketon

I know Wheelersburg won big last night, but don't know the exact score. I hate the Streaks season come to an end like that, but the Pirates were the better team. Good luck to them the rest of the way. To the boys of Piketon, don't let the loss sour the season you had. Use this as motivation to build...

I think it's great that we fans get on here and support our team. As a Piketon fan, I want the Streaks to win every game they play. However, as a realist, I know they won't. I want them to beat Wheelersburg, but I know that will take an almost perfect game by the Streaks. I'm basing this on the fact...
