Re: 12/8/20 Waverly (1-0) @ SW (2-1)
Waverly still has a LOT of ways to go to reach their full capabilities I believe. I think once Futhey, Stulley, Wolf and Brown get back into basketball mode things will start to click. It’s been 5 weeks. Football no excuse now. Tigers have some things to work on unrelated to football and I’m sure t...

Re: Valley @ Wheelersburg 12/8/20
Looks like Valley, Waverly and Burg will have some good games between those 3 this year. Any other teams capable of beating them? I know webster could pull it off cause they had some chances to do so against Waverly.

Re: Waverly 2021
Fort Frye has a better program then every team you played in the reg season this year except Wheelersburg. Yeah I agree, it makes sense for next year, or any year that FF is that good. It's just that we play enough teams DV+ in the SOCII so would be nice to get bigger schools on the OOC schedule. B...

Re: Waverly 2021
I’m hearing they might play Fort Frye week 1. Interesting if true D IV playin D VI. I get the FF is an established program and had success but not sure if I can get on board with it Fort Frye would give them more points than most the teams they play if they win. Fort lead all D6 teams in harbin poi...

Re: Waverly Tigers 5 Year Turnaround
Waverly has produced a District Player of the Year for 5 years straight now. 2016: Clayton Howell (Offense) Drew Harris (Defense) Crabtree COTY 2017: Clayton Howell (Offense) Crabtree COTY 2018: Easton Wolf (Offense) 2019: Payton Shoemaker (Offense) Crabtree COTY 2020: Haydn' Shanks (Offense) Zeke ...

Re: SOC2 2020-2021
Burg graduated 1 senior (rarely played) from last year. I would think them to be the favorite. Did also Waverly return everyone? Waverly lost 3 seniors. Two who were starters in Smallwood and Goodman and one who saw time very sparingly. Smallwood was an aggressive physical big, who had a nice touch...

Re: 2021 Too Early Rankings
Take Waverly out of that list. They will struggle. I still think it is Waverly and Burg on top of SOC II next year. Waverly will find and develop a QB, whoever that may be. I just don't think other teams have the athletes to stay with a more experienced Futhey and Morrison. Harris will be a year ol...

Re: 2021 Too Early Rankings
Based off of what I saw and what I think they have returning I'm gonna start with Jackson Ironton Wheelersburg West Waverly Fairland went far in D6. But don't know how much of that was team and how much of that was region. Same with Valley. What does Wellston return? Take Waverly out of that list. ...

Re: Waverly Tigers 5 Year Turnaround
Just want to give credit to Coach Crabtree and spotlight what the Tigers were able to accomplish these past 5 seasons. They turned the corner in 2016 going 9-2, producing 6 shutouts. 5 years later they go toe-to-toe with arguably the best team in the state in the regional quarterfinals. 2011: 3-7 2...

Re: Waverly Tigers 5 Year Turnaround
In order to be successful you have to check a lot of boxes...starting with the head coach and his staff. They've done a fantastic job. They put in an incredible amount of time and their knowledge of the game is second to none in southern Ohio. Another box that needs to be checked is "School Bo...

Re: Waverly Tigers 5 Year Turnaround
Very impressive what Coach Crabtree has been able to do in his time so far as head coach. He has surrounded himself with a great coaching staff and they have dedicated countless hours into making this program successful. He has created a culture that has produced success and he has found a way to g...

Re: D4 Region 16 Semi-Final Waverly 8-0 at Massie 8-0
Idk if I would say the better team didn’t win...Massie’s 1 turnover was self inflicted. And if they didn’t fumble they were on their way to making it a two score game. Waverly played very well and I’d say shocked the state with how close they kept it. They fumbled on a 4th and 3. No guarantee they ...

Re: D4 Region 16 Semi-Final Waverly 8-0 at Massie 8-0
If Waverly wins this week they WILL host next week. If they are going to higher seeds for the Regional Finals, which is insane, Waverly would assume the #1 seed since they beat Massie. This is the confusion that happens every year. Last year Waverly thought they would be the home seed since they we...
