Re: Eastern District
Toronto looked like a very bad 15-6 team tonight. They couldn't make a basket from what I heard. 4-2 River at the end of first and 11-6 at half... Lukas Isaly of River also hit his 2000th point tonight. River will face Steubenville CC Saturday with the opportunity to face them again in the sectional...

Re: SE D4 Tournament Thread
The interesting fact here is that the winners of the two Athens districts will immediately play in the regional semifinals. Who will prove the best of DIV southeast? I don't think I'm going to end up going against Howie...

Lukas Isaly with a big game with 41 points, including 13 points to end the third quarter. I'm sure college coaches there took notice tonight.

If you're looking for a game tonight..
All you basketball junkies out there looking for a game, Marietta College is putting on a game of two ranked teams in the state. Columbus Bishop Ready (14-1 #7 in Division III (one spot below Oak Hill)) will be taking on Hannibal River (15-1 #4 in Division IV) in a make up game from an earlier tourn...

Re: Wheelersburg Pirates 2017-18 Season
Very interested to see Holden coming off a big year of growth. I believe a Special mention all state. Looking to see a potential matchup with one of the best players in the SE district and one of the best teams in the SE district in Fairland (new to D2)

Regardless, I think it was a great win for the Fort.

Re: Fort Frye (1-0) @ Warren (1-1) 12/12
Linsly typically does not have a different roster every year. This is typically a good amount of continuity. They keep their division 1 athletes in school there, for the most part. Linsly best player Zecca wasn’t even on the roster I had for them last year. Also Linsly is way bigger then Fort Frye....

Re: 2017-18 PVC Thoughts/Predictions
Also, we need to be clear that basketball is unfortunately weak in the area at this point in time... Lost a lot of quality in past two years.. Frontier, MC, Bridgeport, Magnolia are struggling. If it wasn't for teams that had one quality player (Hendershot (Shadyside), Barnesville (Powell)), it woul...

Re: 2017-18 PVC Thoughts/Predictions
I heard River moved back their opening games because of football. They usually lead off with frontier so their opener would've been cancelled.

Re: Fairland High School Basketball 2018
Going a game into the season, how has Fairland looked? I was impressed with them when I saw them play at the Schott, even if it was a wash. You could tell the kids had the talent, but not seeing a team like VASJ hurt. Really ready to see them again!

Re: How good can River be?
Guess I'm late to the post, but River I believe lost a lot... Isaly and Dietz return, along with lengthy post player Hupp. Outside of that, going to be polished JV players and a few sophomores. However, River's turnover doesn't typically doesn't drop off anymore. In a weak district, look for the tea...

Re: 3/18 Fairland vs. Hiland
They need to go to Van Horn early and often. This is a lot better defensive team than garaway, but lacks the size. Kill them on the glass and they''ll be putting that star on Fairland on the Schott floor.

Re: Division II Regional at Ohio University
Byesville Meadowbrook not the same team they were earlier this year. I understand a couple of kids have left the team in the middle of the year but still a pretty good team. Why did the kids leave?? By choice or disciplinary actions? Two kids left this year. One started and was 3rd in minutes per g...

Re: Hiland vs Southeastern 3/15 Sweet 16
I think you're a little bitter mrwonderful. SE had to play the state finalist of 2016 in Lynchburg Clay. (awhh but they graduated people) you don't forget how to play basketball. Coach can still coach and still returned great players. So if you think that SE had a cakewalk, even though they beat the...

Re: Hiland vs Southeastern 3/15 Sweet 16
Hiland is a very structured and disciplined program. This team is smaller than usual but they pride themselves in shooting and intense defense. Notice the word intense. They will get after you and they will be in the right positions. Turner Horn, (leading scorer) and company run a very deep bench an...
