Fairland looks to be the team to beat. The 30 point win at Ironton seemed to be a statement that they intend to take the title this year.

Fairland has a great band. They have been invited to perform at the OMEA All-State Conference in Cleveland this coming year.
They also have a lot of students selected to the All-County and All-District bands each year.

To start with trying to compare WV to Ohio when it comes to private vs Public Schools is like comparing the firepower of a BB Gun to a 30-06..... I'll say this for the last time. Several Public Schools recruit just like the privates do ....My god Ironton did for years...They were the Lawrence count...

The argument from the private schools is the distance they would have to drive to play other private schools during season and that was not something they wanted to have their student athletes endure.
