Re: Week 5 Oak Hill @ Minford
After all the sabre rattling by Minford fans on this forum, the Falcons had better come out victorious. Losing to a SOCI school two years in a row by an "elite" SOCII school, wink wink, is unacceptable. As far as predicting a score I'll leave to the great prognosticators on this forum. How...

Re: Week 5 - Chesapeake at West
If West made no pass attempts they would certainly be capable of scoring triple digits, but I doubt by the half.Boonedawg wrote:Wonder if it's possible to score triple digits by halftime?

Re: Theories on why the SOC II has become a very good confer
More parody doesn't mean better or good. Population shifts and migration to other areas are the key culprit. Look to a different sport for an example. Recently Northwest swept PHS in basketball. That is a clear cut example of schools not having the athletes they once had.

Re: Burg fans...Ironton and Oak Hill
As anyone who follows area football can tell you, playong Ironton in week one and playing them in the later stages of the season is different. To compare scores of games just doesn't work. A close game with Burg doesn't mean the Oaks would beat Ironton, the Tigers are still three td's better than Oa...

Re: Minford SOCII titles
Predictable responses from all. You can slice it however you wish, I have decades of history on my side. As far as "downgrading high school kids", they are aren't my target, adults are. As I stated before the arrogance of people from a program with two titles over the course of 3 generatio...

Minford SOCII titles
In the nearly 60 years of SOC football Minford has exactly two outright conference championships. Oddly enough, in both of those years they lost to the SOCI champ. I dare say that of the multiple championships won by Burg and West, none of those teams would EVER lose to the SOCI champ when having a ...

Re: IRONTON vs ASHLAND
we'd not have lost the game last year, if not for multiple fumbles. if the fighting tigers cover the ball, especially when fighting for extra yardage, keep it high n tight n covered. we may be fine, 1 thing for sure , we are flat out in the meat of our schedule now. no pushovers. we have to execute...

Re: Meigs (2-1) @ Minford (3-0)
Minford is coming off a dominating performance over a Piketon program that should win a decent amount of football games this year to move to 3-0. I dont know much about Meigs, but they are a D4 school and in the past they always put alot of points on the board. They beat River Valley last week and ...
